Maybe I have an overactive imagination, but the hot guy next door totally gives off serial killer vibes. Why else would he know how long it takes to bleed out from a wound? My type of story!
It's super hard to find a fantasy that has enough spice that I want. Or one that I don't find the spice more in the way than titillating. Turns out this is just right.
I coincidentally finished another book with Tor Thom before this one, and I wasn't that big of a fan with his voices for the more vocal of a pair. He's a fine narrator, very sexy growling, just not all the way.
This book isn't the best writing-wise, but it's more of Sherwood's flair than actual bad writing, I think. I may be super biased for the setting though! Can't wait to start the rest of the series!
