slightly lacking

in regards to the performance I really enjoy Junpier Young’s narrations.

for the book itself, I feel like this series didn’t need to be three separate books. Even when evaluating this first book on its own i wish it gave more. The length & duration of this audiobook is greatly contributed to the duet. thankfully, the duet doesn’t overlap the same scenes & moments from the different povs. The story would’ve covered considerably less ground. I haven’t finished the series, but I’m wondering if this all could’ve been one or two books.

Side eyed for rape and ambiguous consent

First chapter as other posters have stated, then the rapist doesn’t admit it the ambiguous dude gaslights hers and said she a virgin wanted it. Then so much wtf from both of them. I give her being young and inexperienced but girl no.

I love this series!

This whole series is sooo good! These narrators did a fantastic job of bringing it to life! I highly recommend if you like dark romance!

Good Story but

The MFC is 22 and only done with her associates degree. She thinks she can only attend an ivy league school for a bachelors for engineering degree. She doesn’t get admitted to her schools so her mom gets her in to the college her mother went to. 1. It doesn’t take 4 years to get an associates. 2. She can go to any four year university for a bachelors in engineering. 3. Her mother did her a disservice for not telling her she was a magical creature and what would happen to her at Graves. Previous readers stated the first sex scene was “rape”. This is iffy. The professor had her consent regardless. So he didn’t rape her. However, the second man, Marcus did not have her consent to penetrate her (he did not orgasm). The MFC is interested in both of them and this book involves shifters and vampires and more so CNC is a given most of the time and with dark romance.

Well i finished it..

Damn, this book had so much potential to be awesome but seriously wasn't. as a person who likes everything from Regency romance to monster smut I'm pretty lenient but this book felt like it was written by somebody who's only watched college coming of age movies and porn but has never actually experienced real life. Also, if you want to continue listening after reading all those reviews just skip chapter 7 to avoid it.
