AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I laughed, I cried, I fell in love with so many characters! I really loved the world building that continued in this book, so much better than having it all shoved in my face in the beginning. Emilia creates such wonderful characters and gives such a good twist!! I am starting the next one NOW!!!!

This was one of my favorite reads in a while! I loved the first book, but loved this one even more and I did not want to put it down because so much was happening. That POV from Vali *OMGODDESS*!! I went through all the emotions with Wyvern’s Flame. I laughed, I cried, I painted through the love parts, and squealed through the whole book. Emilia really did beautifully captivating readers and bringing us into the world of Velyra and falling in love with all of the characters, including the side characters!

Speaking of, I absolutely loved getting to see so much character development for the side characters, like Avery, Fin and even Kellan (who we all hate), and also really enjoyed the new characters that were introduced. I would give my life for Nox, no questions asked! Some of my favorite scenes were getting to see the development of Lia and Nox’s relationship. The way they grew with each other, bonded, and dare I say chosen?

Lia is still a bada** FMC and I am happy we got to see her embrace her feminine rage throughout the book. Her vengeance side is what I live for! 😏

Commander Jace is still Daddy and such a sweetheart.
“Now, what kind of man would I be if I didn’t kneel before my queen?” He is my new book boyfriend! I melted every time he’d say My Lia 🥹. Nothing beats romantasy declarations of love and when Jace said “I would burn down the entire continent in order to get her back if that’s what it took” I swooned.
“…I have kissed every inch of your body before, and I will do it again. Over and over for the remainder of my existence. Because you are mine.”

Overall, This book was phenomenal and it’s so easy to get lost in the world she’s built and love the characters she’s created. Im so sad to say I picked this book up late, but by golly, I’m so freakin happy I did! Because now, I don’t have to wait for book two!

I got tired of hearing God's Damn. ..it was endless i was over that, and i wish the villiam had a slower death...but overall I loved the story

A Cheesy Feel Good Book

I loved the depth of the characters and their relationships with each other. The ending was predictable— but nothing wrong with that! I enjoyed the bit of spice that did not detract from the storyline.

Strong Narrator Choices

The character dialogue remains one of Emilia Jae's strongest storytelling traits. The plot of the second book is stronger than the first but lacks a bit in action. Secondary characters get some much needed narration which is interesting to see. Spice level is low (2/5) but it plays to Jae's strengths that she doesn't rely on sexy times for keeping reader attention.
