author has an unparalleled ability to develop characters and build the world of the story. it's absolutely captivating and will suck you right in.

The character building in this second book was amazing! Excited to see book 3!!!

I like Chows almighty power dude is a humble heavy hitter. Can’t wait to see what he does in the divine realm.

Very disappointed

The only big difference between books 1 and 2 is that the emotional maturity of the 2 mcs became that of 2 year old throwing a tantrum

Enjoyable

I think it was a good follow up. Even though it was shorter that the first book, it felt much fuller. Maybe because we have a broader range of characters whose perspectives were narrated, creating much more subplots and emotional connections for us to hang on to. Emotions play a big part, with the struggles and turmoil very much palpable throughout the book

I enjoyed the bit of mystery but the story of the tower murders felt a bit random and....incomplete. Like there's clearly much more behind it but it wasn't explored and that's frustrating.
I speculate that it would have clashed with the intended direction for the climax but also it's a breadcrumb to pick up on in the next book.

Well worth the wait

Great progression to the story, the twist the turns and the mental and martial struggles kept me entertained every step of the way. I can’t wait for the next installment

Send me not enjoy the technical aspects that you’ve included in this book. Much more than any other book that I’ve read or listen to, but I have enjoyed watching the changes and growing of each one of the characters joy listening to it anxious to hear the next one of the series

Amazing sequel that was worth the wait!!!

I had really been looking forward to this book and it didn't disappoint at all. Very heavy emphasis on the emotional aspects which really makes it a stand out in the genre. That is not to say that it's not action packed. It also has a very unique progression system that I truly love. Great character growth that you can really feel.
