Gets even more intricte

A great power-system and blurring the line between "villains" and heroes
I really like this series a lot. The characters are interesting and the plot is fun. I’m looking forward to the next book!

Good but not the best

I will say this is definitely the weakest entry in the series so far. We don't really get any good progression in Shane's powers just some stuff about how he can stretch his abilities further. this book mostly felt dedicated towards Shane's love life than even the scavenger hunt.

Meh... This one already feels like a filler book.

Usually series get to volume 6 or 7 before they hit "filler" entries. This one already feels there at book 3, unfortunately. I really liked the first two books, that's why it hitting something like this at book 3 is pretty disappointing. On top of that, the heavy handed romance story here was annoying, instead of the intended endearing. The two love birds in question seemed to act like 30-somethings, not teenagers. It just felt weird.

I had already purchased the next couple in the series, so hopefully the story and arcs pick back up. I want something more substantial than a book about their high school scavenger hunt for flowers...

Nothing Happened

Narrator did a great job as always

Characters are great. Callie and Shane are so cute together, love them.

But, unlike book 1 and 2 nothing significant plotwise happened. I found myself skipping through chapters and not really missing anything. The scavenger hunt didn't really contribute to the plot in any meaningful way other than the main characters getting stronger.

I look forward to book 4.

The contest comes to an end!

I continue to really enjoy this series. The cultivation system is definitely unique and the progression mirrors it.
The characters and their relationships continue to grow and improve.
The contest was fun and interesting but I was glad when it ended. And it ended about how I would expect it to.
I’m hoping for more progression and growing in their powers going forward.
I feel the author is doing a great job with the Shane and Callie’s growing relationship. It’s entertaining and funny at times while also continuing to grow in depth.

a good book it continues the story and has good character progression. if you enjoyed the previous 2 books you'll love this one.

Scavenger Hunt

Never did I think a scavenger hunt could be so enthralling.
The MC and his friends with a few others go through a training for the academy that is a scavenger hunt and basically a tutorial to help them learn and advance their powers and skills.
Of course the MC is still hiding his wish granting skill.
Great series!
I'm giving this book 7.5 out of 5 stars.
