Benny White had been having a rough couple of years, and the approaching apocalypse wasn’t exactly helping.

Then there’s his Flesh Golem summon, a six-foot mound of muscle and sinew called Meat. That lumbering monstrosity might come in handy, just as soon as it stops walking into trees…

Great story

Crossing my fingers that this is one of those special books, books that the next one shows up online a week after the first. This has happend before, I cannot wait for the next one. I am satisfied with my purchace

Holy crap its freaking awesome

right from the start out with a bang and took off from there. loved all the characters and story so much I couldn't put it down. highly recommend this one and can't wait for the next book

Wonderful, leaving me wanting more

It’s good. It’s great really, but yeah I’ll just leave it at that. Shout out to Dave, the friendly eldrich horror

wish I wouldn't have waited

way better than i thought. Benny is not perfect and learns some hard lessons in a hard way, but the story is very good and I want book 2 asap. looking forward to seeing what happens next.

the unique story line

unique story that keep your attention and so many different emotions. disliked how often the mc checked the stats. maybe make stats optional in next book. but otherwise great story.

Great First Book

So this book certainly has some ups and downs, but it all makes for a great story. The humor was very amusing and the ending made me laugh a lot. I look forward to the next book in series.

MC is weak willed and whiny 

Not done with the book yet, about half way through. I enjoy the system and world building in this. Actually I enjoy just about everything except for the MC. His abilities are cool and pretty unique which is nice. Unfortunately he has a traumatic background. Normally this is fine because it makes the character more resilient and cold blooded, it’s the opposite here. He is mentally weak and freaks out randomly about anything remotely against the mainstream politically correct “moral” compass. You’re in a life and death situation with tens of lives on the line and he is appalled at the slightest hint of torture. Idk it’s just annoying enough I had to write a review.

looking forward to book 2

Narration was great, overall plot is pretty good, power system is neat. The thing that sticks with me the most from this book is how annoyed I was with all of Benny's agonizing over morality the whole book in the most frustrating way while he actively recognizes that he's just going to get his people killed or hurt because he isn't willing to dirty his hands by killing obviously bad people. Benny seems to sort of get over this at the very end of the book, so I'm hopeful for book 2.

Absolute 🔥. The character growth and level/skill progression are great. MC shows his morality and compassion. I need the next book now!

The wallflower because the MC

Now I know from the title what I said, a wallflower becomes from main character, but Benny’s different compared to the other characters we read about or heard from. He actually knows when he pushed himself too far he does have a backstory that is kind of relatable because of family purposes but that’s another thing. The story from this point forward you don’t want to Miss it’s actually funny there’s some some strategies he increases levels that make the one of the main villains has a comeback. You won’t want to miss. It’s worth the credit.
