Awesome story

One of the best book series I’ve listen to or read the diversity in the story is the best I’ve ever come across wish the game was real so I could play it
Can’t wait to continue with the rest of the series to see how it develops

Refreshing take on a LitRPG! Great character and interesting world! Definitely going to read the 2nd.

It starts a tiny bit slow but give it a minute and you won’t regret it!

Yeah a true story

Thank you for not having a harem, coming of age, overly sexual content. It is a fresh air and not to deal with the sister wife or teenage content that some of the other authors think is viable storytelling.

The story the author wove is interesting and fun. I like the fact that the MC is a violent man who chooses to convert to a pacifist. It provides some quite funny area where he is fighting himself and other players. Love the foxes and the mice.

Good characters. Both protagonists and villains

The performance is a bit bland. But, it was a great story. The main character Roth is really good and so are the side characters beside him. The villain, Loki, is an irredeemable demon of a man and a part of me hates that I love his writing.

Excellent story!

I loved everything about this book and our narrator did an excellent job. Highly recommend this book.

I found this nearly impossible to put down I was so engrossed. What an unusual storyline and portrayed in such an interesting way. Esp since I am an avid gamer I would say if this video game existed Id be playing it, and having such an unusual class that the character doesn't even get to discover during this book just makes me want to get the next one. In fact I grabbed the next two books just so when I finish this one I could move on to the next. Also the intricate stories making the whole book one big tapestry in and of itself was brilliant.

Well done, I look forward to more.

Infinite respawning pacifist, but there’s a deeper story

Honestly, the author makes it work. I bought this book on a whim expecting it to be a DNF. I did finish the book and I liked it enough to consider buying the next one.

something different than all the others

this is definitely something different than all the other RPGs out there. Really great story. Show some of the conditions in which virtual reality may involve. MC has great personality. Well written and great plot.

Such a refreshing take backed with solid writing.

I think this might be my first review on Audible. Having used the platform for years, nothing has coaxed a review out of me before. But this is such a fresh take. The story telling is compelling and interesting. With a surprisingly palatable mix of sci-fi and fantasy. Would recommend.

Gamer or no, an engaging and fun book!

This book hooked me. Character growth is very important for me, and the main character's growth in this book was mirrored in his in-game growth. The story was engaging, so much so that I wished I could play a "subversive" in a fighting game, befriending and caring for NPCs! Ferreira has created a fun work with a fascinating premise, an interesting world, and great storytelling. I haven't written a review in years - and I read extensively - but just had to do so for this one!

This surprised me with how good it was. it was a nice change of pace from most books in the genre.
