The small town of Ever, Massachusetts is idyllic and quaint. It's also chock full of monsters.

When my sister thrifts an aged map with iridescent lettering leading to a town called Ever, I roll my eyes. According to a quick internet search, the town doesn't exist. We only manage to find it with the help of a sexy gas station owner who offers to come for me if I call him. Swoon.

I quickly learn that Shepherd isn't actually human; nobody in town is. News flash—he's a gargoyle—a dominant, possessive, crème brûlée-loving monster. That should terrify me, but something about him keeps me coming back. Maybe it's the snark. Maybe it's the delicious snacks. Maybe it's his wingspan which leads me to wonder about the size of other things. I digress.

No one realized that when I came through the town's protective wards, something happened to them. Now, the town—and my sisters—are in danger from a soul-sucking evil that's constantly trying to burrow its way in.

Can Shepherd and I save the town and our shot at love, or will evil ruin our happily ever after?

Getting It On With Gargoyles is the first book in the Haven Ever After monster romance series. Each book can be listened to as a standalone. If you're in the mood for possessive cinnamon roll heroes, look no further. Shepherd's got you covered. And he brings snacks.

This book was super cute! And has more plot than I expected! The story is really good! The magic system is easy and not too complicated. The main couples story concludes but over all plot is left in cliff hanger. The narrators are great! I’m on book 3 now, would definitely recommend this series.

Very cute!

Summary bit
Three triplets go on an adventure to get over the death of their parents . They end up in a mysterious town where monsters are kind and welcome them as part of them. Main female character needs a gargoyle. They have love at first sight. Or lust. Turns out they have a little monster in them and due to this. They opened a hole in protective wall. Letting in the bad guys. The main male character finds he’s mate but afraid to tell her cause she plans on leaving.

My review
The story was not bad. Pretty good but I had trouble staying interested at times. Not cause it was bad but just not enough spaz at times. Or maybe just me. The characters were also nicely done. Gave a lot of back story on all and you got a feel for the people. They have two main characters but I feel like not enough time was spent on the relationship or not enough depth to it. It was a cute fast romance. Few spicy but good, not a lot of it. The mystery of the oncoming action scene was eh. Not a lot outcome to it. But it’s a part in one of the books.
Narration was pretty good also. Few of the voices I wasn’t a fan of, but nothing I took real note of.

Would I recommend?
Yea, I plan on getting number two. I’m interested in hearing the outcome. I believe many would like this story. Simple monster romance and tad bit
Of a cliff hanger in knowing the mystery parts.

Pretty good storyline
