Publisher's summary

Dance of the Hanged Man is Mark Greene’s tale of five boys struggling to survive a supernatural event in the dark woods of 1970s Texas.

"It held McCollough by his throat and pulled him lazily across the ground, the old man’s legs hanging limp and motionless. McCollough’s head was back, bent at a contorted angle. He was not struggling. He was counting down his final breaths.”

Master Storyteller

I highly recommend this audiobook! Greene’s voice is pitch perfect: resonate and captivating. I felt like I was transported back in time, sitting around a camp fire, leaning in, hanging onto every word. The writing is incredibly sensory; I could feel the heat and see the darkness. Greene sure knows how to spin a yarn!

Great story! A ton of spooky fun!!!

A gothic ghost story in small town Texas set in the 70's - OMG, what's not to love! It starts off slow and deliberate with beautifully written descriptions and gradually builds steam, racing towards a mind-blowing crescendo. Delighted the author read it. I can't wait for some film maker to grab this one...

At 4 1/2 hours, this audiobook was the perfect companion for a long drive.

A fun and punchy thriller

I listened to this book in two round trips to upstate New York on rainy/cold nights, and I (100% honest) had to turn it off twice because I was getting too creeped out. Really, what's more fun than that when you're listening to a scary book? Big fan of Mark and love the world he created in this story.
