Terrible narration ruined a decent story.

Literally listened with my hand on the volume button because it would randomly blast or be reduced to a whisper. Also mispronounced tons of common words. Almost DNF but wanted to find out how it ended. Definitely won’t listen to the rest, but might read them in a different format.

amazing first book

loved this book so much. huge fan of the drop in to New world aspect. fun exciting and all around great start to a series

Very much in the style of "The wondering Inn"

The main character is like The Wandering Inn series is Erin Solstice. A young woman from Earth, she finds herself in a fantasy world.
I enjoy the vibe.
Awsum narrator, great inflection that Ai cant duplicate.

Great story

This was a great story. I understand why others might find it offputting. You expect murder and mayhem not the luck stat. Jane draws power in a different and unique way and this story is different enough to feel interesting. The world feels fleshed out with potential and the story takes the time to question the system. Give it a try.

Surprisingly good

The first chapter put me off. I set the audiobook aside for some months before tapping play again.
Jake’s adventures and advancement are artfully played out over the course of mostly short chapters. The easy to listen to, bite sized bits of entertainment kept the enjoyment level elevated.
