What could be worse than an arranged marriage to a vampire prince?

When Luna is sold into marriage to the Prince of Darkness on her twenty-first birthday, she thinks she knows what to expect. Arranged marriages happen all the time, right? Wrong. No one could have prepared her for the reality of being married to the vampire prince.

Ever since the day he was made, Sebastian has been living according to Queen Marguerite's rules. After all, he's only alive because of her. When she orders him to marry and bind himself to Luna, a human hailing a neighboring kingdom, he has no choice. He agrees to the marriage but never expects to feel anything for her.

When their Binding Ceremony goes awry, and they are magically tethered, everything is thrown into upheaval. Unable to leave each other's presence, they must learn to live with each other—or die.

Tethered is an arranged marriage high fantasy romance filled with forced proximity, magical bindings, vampires, and world-building. It can be enjoyed on its own or alongside The Ithenmyr Chronicles.

the male narrator ruins the book! He makes Luna sound like a blubbering idiot. Stick with 1 narrator!

interesting story.

Love the ease of the way the story unfolded and performances was smooth and easy to absorb

Great story

The male narrator had a lisp that was just too distracting for me. I could not finish the audiobook, I had to switch over to reading on my kindle. The story was fine, it’s an easy YA read.

So I don’t want to say it was a bad book because I enjoyed it. There were parts where I couldn’t walk away. However, I won’t be reading/listening to any more of the series. I feel like the story is a stand alone, that the story started to feel like the other hundred books out. I feel like the beginning and even the middle it had such great potential but it fell off for me. Seemed like there was so much filler if that makes any sense at all. I’m glad I read it I would probably recommend the first book but again it fell flat

Not sure what to say

I’d say there are a lot of similarities between the MMC and Rhysand minus the whole vamp thing. I like a morally gray shadow daddy! I like the idea but definitely could improve in the 🌶️ department.. I was hoping for “something similar” as in epic world building/character development as ACOTAR but I feel like this fell short. This is definitely a YA series..

Book 1, I had higher expectations

Loved the story. Sebastian and Luna, love them together. Hurt her and die, speak to her and die! Swoon.

Sebastian 🖤

I couldn’t even get through the first 5 chapters. The voice actor was not doing it for me. She made it a struggle to listen.

Terrible Voice Actor

If you're going to have a male and a female reading the story, then the male should do all the male parts and the female should do all the female parts. It was a struggle to listen to. She was oddly sing-songy, and he sounded like he had a marble in his mouth or a speech impediment. None of the voices matched the characters that the book created in my imagination. I began to wonder if anyone proofread this - several times they would repeat a word in the same sentence. It was odd. And he calls her "darling" throughout -who says that?? The story is pretty good though. I enjoyed that, but this book would be better to read than to listen to these narrators unfortunately.

Better to read than listen to this one

I absolutely hate how they did this audiobook. I understand having Sebastian 's chapters spoken by male actor and Luna's chapters spoken by a female, but regardless of whose chapter it was, the dialogue should not have switched. One chapter you're in the middle of this moment, then all the sudden it flips to the next chapter and suddenly the strong-willed inquisitive Luna that was being portrayed by the female voice actor turns into some annoying god-awful attempt by the male actor to sound like Luna. It's not just the voices themselves but the way she portrayed Sebastian, when she spoke as him and the way that he portrays Sebastian when he spoke as him, it was like two different characters all together! there's plenty of books that bounce back and forth from different perspectives, but if you already have different voice actors, why not just use them when there's dialogue?

This book was okay. The male narrator needs to work on not making women sound like weak, pathetic, stumbling, stuttering imbeciles. It was very annoying and I'll probably read the next two books instead of listening.

Meh, it's alright. Storyline is predictable.
