Heart wrenching but hopeful

Loving this story so far, but my heart aches for everything the FMC has experienced. I can’t wait to read book 2!

Great story but feel like the book should have been longer. Didn’t feel like a full book. Glad I don’t have to wait too long for the next one.

I loved the accents. The book started out with a bang and kept going. The ending was definitely my favorite part of the book. I was not expecting that twist.

Enjoyable Shifter series

The beginning of this story gives off a slightly similar vibe to the Broken Bonds series, but that’s truly where the comparison ends. From there, the plot takes its own path, building steadily through each book and ending every installment on a cliffhanger that keeps you coming back for more.

The FMC has been trained her whole life to survive, taught by her father to fight, defend herself, and stay one step ahead. She ran away at fifteen, trying to protect her mate from the monster inside her, and that history definitely shapes her choices. However, I do wish she were a bit more analytical when it comes to the many clues and important information constantly thrown her way. She tends to prioritize the romance over unraveling the mysteries around her or paying attention to her internal wolf’s warnings.

All that said, I still really enjoyed this series. It’s a fun, fast-paced shifter story with solid character development and an engaging plot that keeps you hooked. Sometimes, you need a series that’s an entertaining good time, and this one definitely delivers.

I like it but literally pretty much the same story line as the broken bonds series. Some changes but pretty much the same story. Going to keep keep reading the series tho
