Life sucks.

Gabe Harris has been clued into this fact for a long time now. In his mid-twenties, life has been nothing but low paying jobs, petty power-tripping bosses, and the worst roommates mankind has to offer. Bills, debt, and misery have haunted him for his entire adult life and, to make matters worse, it feels like his dream of being a writer is dead on arrival.

One fateful night, he decides to take control of his life and make his dream a reality. Diving into the strange world of online writing soon yields results, enough that he can move into his own place, even if it's a terrible studio apartment. As he finishes moving and prepares to pursue the life of a successful writer by any means necessary, the world throws something completely unexpected his way.

Ellen, a six foot five blonde goddess and former coworker, abruptly reenters his life as her own seemingly perfect existence is collapsing. When the two begin reconnecting, things start getting heated, and Gabe quickly learns that being a successful writer isn't the only thing he wants.

Another great book by Misty Vixen. You will not be disappointed. Also Melanie Hastings narration really brings the story to life. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This could be a primer on direct, respectful and open communication in a relationship. Someone did their research and it’s beautiful.

Great book, was fun to read! Language and writing stood out as it felt like these were real people going through real issues in our modern society. The characters showed great development throughout the story, and embodied sex is a very safe & positive way with a huge emphasis on consent.
The narration was also clear and amazing. You are able to tell who is who simply by the way each character spoke.
The ending was a great setup for the next book in the series. I can't wait to get it started!

I'm not fully finished yet, so maybe I'll be way off base by the end, but so far, the experience has been ok. would have preferred 2 narrators so the MC doesn't sound like a pre teen boy, but its not a deal breaker. it's a nice story about people finding each other and learning to care, but sometimes it gets a bit too preachy. another thing I noticed is that when the male MC compliments Ellen, it's usually putting her on a pedestal and calling her the best thing ever, while her compliments are basically a variation of that meme "don't worry babe, yours is fine, the bigger ones hurt". She even calls him above average, which, maybe it's just my own pride, but I'd be a little insulted. maybe it'll get a bit better by the end but it almost seems like he's supposed to feel bless with her presence and Ellen is just finally making better choices emotionally and Gabe happens to be the landing place

Good, with some minor downsides
