Lucy thinks the huge Monstrum warrior, T’zaren is a grumpy stick-in-the-mud.
T’zaren disapproves of the curvy little human female’s light-hearted view of life.
But when they have to go on a mission together as Lady and manservant and T’zaren had to serve her in some extremely intimate ways, will they change their minds? And will T’zaren ever succeed in…Finding his Goddess? To find out you’ll have to read this Enemies to Lovers, Grump and Sunshine, Fake Dating, Hot Alien Warrior Romance!

Is there anything worse than a grumpy man? What about a grumpy seven-foot-tall Monstrum warrior who seems to have no sense of humor at all? Lucy Heartwood doesn’t think so. She’s an optimist at heart with a bubbly personality and she’s not anxious to spend extended time with a stick-in-the-mud like T’zaren.

Unfortunately, the huge Monstrum is going to be her protector on a mission to save the Monstrum Mother Ship. They must travel together to the stronghold of Lady Twi’linda—a Twainer who has the only supply of dimriel crystals, which the Mother Ship desperately needs.

T’zaren doesn’t approve of Lucille—she’s not serious enough. But she makes the Sen Stripe along his spine flare like no other woman ever has, making her damn hard to resist. When he has to act like her manservant and “serve” her in every way on their mission, their strained relationship suddenly gets a lot more interesting. But when their hostess takes a turn towards evil and danger stalks them both, will he be able to save her?
And will he ever succeed in…Finding his Goddess?

The Male Character did th things for me. I loved the surely on the outside needy on the inside personality of the male MC. Overall the story was interesting. Between the Wyvern Kindred and this one I’m having a hard time deciding which one I would want ultimately but they are my top two out of all the kindred.

Definitely need the old Mackenzie Cartwright back. This narrator wasn’t terrible but honestly did terrible during the erotic scenes and it sadly took away from the beauty of the Evangeline Anderson books. When it says the female lead gasped the narrator doesn’t gasp instead she does a different sound which was weird. Anyways it may seem nitpicky but it makes a difference and matters for an audiobook.

Another favorite in the series

What happened to Mackenzie? Aela’s narration was awful at the beginning, especially the commander’s voice, yuck! Aela’s narration improved as the book progressed; however, her male voices leave a lot to desired. The storyline was similar to other books in the series, but enjoyable. I miss William Martin and Mackenzie. One of my pet peeves is author’s changing narrators during or toward the end of a series; unless the narrators sucked, which in this case, the original narrators were fabulous! Gregory was ok.

Narration was off

A woman geologist visits a friend on the kindred mothership. In the process of visiting the dark side of the ship, she accidentally falls into the river and is saved by a kindred Warrior. Misunderstanding occur because the kindred warrior was in a society that woman selected their husbands. He was following the rules of his society, not knowing that Earth females did things differently. Interesting story because of the miscommunication and misunderstandings That threatened the relationship. Both were sent on a mission that proved dangerous. Exciting story with great narration.

Misunderstandings

The narrators did well. The plot was definitely unique and had so much potential...but I've been struggling to finish it. The FMC is just so ignorant. She's absolutely infuriating. Also...she talks about her ex bf Mike in every chapter from the FMC's POV...it's obnoxious. Yes, you had a bad past relationship, yes we know his name was Mike, no you do not need to bring him up CONSTANTLY and compare him to the MMC. She is slow to process information when the plot calls for her to be more quick witted. I just greatly disliked her and thought a stronger more intelligent FMC wouldve been a better fit for the plot.

FRUSTRATING

The narrators are really important for an audible book for me, I can’t listen to a book where the narrators voices annoy me. The guy narrator’s girl voice was so annoying and the performance of the girl narrator was lacking. The story was good but not one of the author’s better books. Story kind of to similar to the others need a new story with crazy new plots to show how a kindred meets their mates. Just need something new and different please. Still a huge fan of the Kindred series can’t wait for future books!

Narrators are not as good as the normal ones
