Eric Liddell

Something Greater Than Gold

By: Janet Benge, Geoff Benge

Narrated by: Tim Gregory

Eric's refusal earlier that week to run on Sunday in the Olympic 100-meter race had stunned the world. Now his incredible victory in the 400-meter race further strengthened his belief in God's promise, "He who honors Me, I will honor."
Years later, Eric Liddell would be tested far beyond mere physical ability as a missionary to China. His character, perseverance, and endurance are a challenging example for all who would obey the call to bring the gospel to the nations.

Awesome! Encouraging!

Awesome audiobook. Has encouraged me to be a Good Samaritan and to be humble like the Jesus in Eric Liddell.

I'm not crying you are...

this book was so good and well told. I'll be getting more of these! thank you

Great story and easy to get through in a day

There was no struggle to finish this one. Great story material and the reader made for easy listening. I enjoyed the story - worthwhile if you like biographical stories like Boenhoffer, Hudson Taylor, or Brother Andrew.

Awesome book!

Excellent read, excellent reader, inspiring to put God first no matter what and great history lesson.

Amazing story

This story was great! I couldn’t help but memorizing almost the whole story by heart. This story had many heart stopping suspenseful moments, just the type of story that I love. I’m about to watch the movie mentioned in the last chapter and I know that if it was made about Eric Liddell, then I know it’s going to be an amazing story
