Publisher's summary

Determined to make a difference and with an insatiable curiosity, love of adventure, and hunger for justice, Theodore Roosevelt exemplified a life directed by principles and not by circumstance.

Overcoming severe asthma and a weak heart set young Teddy on a life course against all odds. Whether rooting out government and corporate corruption, leading the legendary Rough Riders in war, establishing wildlife refuges and national parks, ranching in the Badlands of Dakota, writing books, or exploring dangerous uncharted land, the twenty-sixth president of the United States embraced every challenge and made his life count.

so great!

a wonderful listen. great for most aged audiences. it's as great as the other books I have read/listened to by these authors. almost each book by them is my 'new favorite' until the next one and this one is no different. This book makes history exciting, interesting and fun! my only disappointment- as a lover of Brighty of the Grand Canyon and an AZ resident, was sad there wasn't at least a mention of his trips to AZ. But one of the things I love about these authors is the 'just right' length of their books, and you can't have that and fit every detail in. and admittedly, these authors always leave me wanting the story to go on and on....
