LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

This book gets a 4 for story and overall, with Me Baldree bringing one of his best and consistent performances. The progression starts where he left off, exactly where he left off. I like that. Nothing’s worse than picking up your brandy new audio book, to then have to backtrack like 4 hours of the last one to get going. Nope. Zogarth is a beast. This dude obviously has a plan for Jake; I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
For me, I think the best part of this book is that it doesn’t hide political nuances in the dialog (He who fights with monsters **cough) which makes every book a great listen. The only thing holding back a true five star is the predictability of Jakes decision making and progress. I called his stat allocation twice, put it all on perception or all in agility. Thank god they don’t read his stats every damn chapter like other books.
Okay okay; the book was great if only a little predictable. The relationship between him and Villy is cool as hell, I wish me and my god were on such immediate speaking terms haha! The only hold up the whole book was the odd morality of slavery vs capitol punishment, you can make your own opinions about that tho, hope this was helpful! Just do it, you’re going to buy it anyway.
Cheers!
If anything: Consistent.

As always, Mr. Baldree does an amazing job. He brings a flair to the story that makes this one of few storylines I enjoy the audio format more than written.
