Publisher's summary

Back from the treasure hunt, it’s time to explore Earth a little more....

But first, Jake has a family to visit, and an auction to attend. Then, it’s time to face the challenges the planet has to offer, and by using the many rewards from the treasure hunt, Jake aims to improve his repertoire while getting some more levels under his belt.

And what could be a better idea than invading a massive termite hive to craft a new weapon using the extremely powerful curse of resentment from an ancient vampire land? Yeah, nothing could possibly go wrong with that. Ancient curses are well-known for being harmless, after all.

Assuming all goes well–which it surely will–Jake has one more challenge he must face. Perhaps his most dangerous one yet.

That’s right, it’s back-to-school season.

School in this case being an ancient Order worshipping a Primordial snake god.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Love this book and the series, keep them coming!

Only issue I had was the sudden, abrupt ending. The book felt rush, incomplete. Not bad in the way a movie may be split into part 1 and part 2 as the book doesn't leave you hanging, it just didn't needed...a plot. Regardless, it was still a fun, Albright quick listen and I have no regrets.

Another excellent story

Another excellent story in this book series. It is surprisingly good, but this story did not falling into the typical traps of a long running series. Traps like advancing the character way too fast or turning, the story into an episodic situation. At the end of each book it leaves you wanting the next one even without a cliffhanger.

Best in the series so far

I liked this book. While yes it was slower and more filler-ish than the rest of the others, it is not an endless murder parade. Ending without an earth-shaking fight was a breath of fresh air.

Never quite long enough

I can never seem to put these audio books down. Of all the Lite RPG books I’ve listen to this is one of my favorites.

When do we get book 7?

Loved it, but way too short! Need more. This is the best RPG series I've ever read.

Fantastic!

Another fantastic listen. I really love this series, and the relationship between the Viper and Jake is amazing. Every time those are together, it's always fun. I hope there are plenty more books to come.

Dear god more please!!

I like the to academy stuff and i love time spent talking with Villy. At some point Clock needs to meet Jake.

My only complaint is thr book felt a bit unfinished. I really hope we see a signaficant amount of time on the academy. It really should have been the next ten hours atleast.

not the best of the series

extremely well written and a great listen. but it can across as more of a .5 than a full book. the time skipped where perfect in length but the main aspect was lacking in real development for the MC compared to the other books.
