He can’t help but fall for her - big feet and all.

Grumpy Zach isn’t interested in settling down. He’s a lion on a mission, with no time for a mate. As if fate cares what he wants.

An order from his king has him guarding a peculiar stowaway who might have answers to a mystery - and causes him to question his heart.

It will take all his feline skill to keep her safe as they race to locate a dangerous treasure. As they come to rely on each other, things start to heat up.

Until the unexpected tears them apart.

But Zach won’t give up without a fight, because this lion knows he’s found his mate.

The character Zack was very antisocial in the beginning. Fluffy was completely innocent and incapable of protecting herself from evil, for the most part. Joe is trying to prove his worth since he was injured. Grandma is wanting to still be loved by her family. Arlene’s family are all helping her mother try to put her in bubble wrap.

Really sweet, funny, sad & romantic

Zach found Fluffy during a mission and she’s a wild-thing. Without her memories, it was like she was Tarzan, lost in the jungle and returned to civilization. It was fun, but Mr. Duran’s voicing for her made her sound like a child. Combine that with her amnesia caused ignorance and I had to work hard to think of her as an adult.

Maybe it’s because I haven’t listened to the previous books, but the spy-artifact-secret-shifter plot was confusing. There were cameos and name dropping of characters I’m assuming are from other books.

Focusing just on the romance and this was fun and sweet. I also adored Zach’s dad and their curmudgeonly relationship.

Kinda confusing reverse Tarzan
