Mystery plot!!

Alexis finally takes her vacation and she finds herself helping a new friend out. When she finally goes out back to see in search for a mysterious item, I feel like this is really when the story picks up. I enjoyed the suspense and plot that surrounded the mysterious boat. It was fun and kept me on edge of my seat. The narrator, Kelly Huston did a wonderful job performing the story and using different tones and inflections for different characters. She truly elevates the story for me.

I hope this isn't the end of the series!

This last book had me not wanting to stop listening the action in this series keeps you on your feet! I really hope there is more to come in this series and I loved the narrorator she really gets into her stories and I can't wait to hear more from her and the writer ❤ * I received this free audio book for an honest review *

favorite!

I have enjoyed this series from book one -- but this is by far my favorite one! Alexis is on vacation. However unlike normal mortals and humans-- she gets sucked into helping a vampire (of all things) after almost being munched on. His hitchhiker wants to die and the struggle is real; whatever game Elizabeth is playing she's def upping the score with each dark entity.
Alexis learns of an alchemist with the ability to separate the dark from the host -- at what cost no one is sure of. Along the journey to find the missing piece to complete the process, she runs into a few mishaps and a few sunken ships. Few of those ships have hidden mysteries of their own that she feels obligated to help solve.
Nothing this PI can't handle.
this book is def more mystery than the others. more twists and turns, more intrigue to it.
I'm so glad the story continues and will hopefully have another installment.
not to mention the narrator, she really is spectacular and with any luck she'll be here for the entire series!

alex is almost like sam in many ways but in a mermaid twist.

alex hasn't disappointed me with her adventures. also the twists of hearing the other characters from moon novels makes it like they're always fighting evil and who it thought that both women are private investigators. go figure. hope to hear more of alex and her new adventures.

A great listen

This book breaks pattern by having one story instead of 2 stories. Its also less of a detective story and more of a adventure story like romancing the stone but no romance. The narrator continues to be warm and endearing. This story expands the ongoing arc and its fun. It introduces new characters and concepts and I just wished more characters from previous stories would shop up. Overall the story is good and I still like the characters.
