Strong Female Main Character

Good story with interesting characters. The main female character is a very relatable person who is balancing a professional life, motherhood, and a marriage that is going through bad times. There were enough twists in story to keep it interesting and the ending wasn't obvious. I will most likely listen to Book 2 of the Mara Brent Legal Thriller Series.

This one’s a WOW!!!!

This is the first book in the Mara Brent series. This is a spin-off of the Cass Leary series which I have not read but after listening to this book that will be my next series on my “to read list”.
This is an excellent legal thriller involving the prosecution of a 20 year old cold rape/attempted murder case. This book is very well written and the story kept me listening way past my normal time for bed! What starts out as one crime takes a turn and winds up being something else altogether. During the trial evidence is tampered with and the only people with access work in Mara’s own office.
Vivienne Leheny does a wonderful job narrating.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Terrific legal thriller!!

TIME OF JUSTICE, Book 1 in Mara Brent legal thriller series, is my first exposure to the works of author Robin James. I will listen to the novels of her Cass Leary series. This legal thriller is better than anything John Grisham has written in in the most recent twenty years. The narration by Vivienne Leheny is stellar. Very highly recommended!

Thank Goodness She Wasn’t Another Doormat!

Interesting turn of events

I liked the descriptions of court room rules and procedures. The story kept me interested and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
