I love these characters. They are so real, with problems just like the rest of us. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Great Book Must Rear/Listen

This was a great book with quite a few twists and turns, but it all well up with a really great final outcome. It was also great to see the Mara and Sam relationship grow.

intriguing story

Let me start by saying that This was the first book I've read in the Mara Brent series, so consequently, I don't have the background on what happened with the first husband et.Cetera. I also need to say that I have read the entire Cass Leery series by this author and I find mara brent inferior to Cass leery. she wasn't as compelling to me. i also really did not care for the narration. There was so little differentiation in the voices for the different characters That very oftentimes, I thought I was listening to one when it really was another. . I'm not a book critic or a book reviewer by any stretch of the imagination. Just offering my opinion. the story was intriguing as I say in the title and I was driven to listen to the entire thing to get to the end to see what finally happens. that to me makes a good story- If it's one that you want to keep listening to in order to see what happens. i think this author writes extremely good courtroom dramas. i may go back and start at book one to see if giving me the background and getting more acquainted with the narrator's voice Will help me enjoy the books more.

Another great Lisson!

Really enjoyed this storyline and the continued growth and development of these characters. Robin James is definitely one of my favorite authors! Keep them coming!

Great reader to go along with an excellent book I would recommend reading this book to anyone interested in court room dramas

Outstanding

When a new book by Robin James is released I don’t hesitate to get it, she is an amazing storyteller. Prior to listening to this book I listened to the previous books in the series just because l love the series. This book is an excellent addition to the series and I know I will listen to again in the near future. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Well done Robin James. Vivienne Leheny also does an excellent job with the narration as usual.

Nothing special in this one, little bit of a letdown compared to past books unfortunately
