I need more Mara & Sam

I love these characters. They are so real, with problems just like the rest of us. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

intriguing story

Let me start by saying that This was the first book I've read in the Mara Brent series, so consequently, I don't have the background on what happened with the first husband et.Cetera. I also need to say that I have read the entire Cass Leery series by this author and I find mara brent inferior to Cass leery. she wasn't as compelling to me. i also really did not care for the narration. There was so little differentiation in the voices for the different characters That very oftentimes, I thought I was listening to one when it really was another. . I'm not a book critic or a book reviewer by any stretch of the imagination. Just offering my opinion. the story was intriguing as I say in the title and I was driven to listen to the entire thing to get to the end to see what finally happens. that to me makes a good story- If it's one that you want to keep listening to in order to see what happens. i think this author writes extremely good courtroom dramas. i may go back and start at book one to see if giving me the background and getting more acquainted with the narrator's voice Will help me enjoy the books more.

Really enjoyed this storyline and the continued growth and development of these characters. Robin James is definitely one of my favorite authors! Keep them coming!

Outstanding

When a new book by Robin James is released I don’t hesitate to get it, she is an amazing storyteller. Prior to listening to this book I listened to the previous books in the series just because l love the series. This book is an excellent addition to the series and I know I will listen to again in the near future. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Well done Robin James. Vivienne Leheny also does an excellent job with the narration as usual.

Great Book Must Rear/Listen

This was a great book with quite a few twists and turns, but it all well up with a really great final outcome. It was also great to see the Mara and Sam relationship grow.

Outstanding

Each Mara Brent book by Robin James gets better. The story on this book further develops the characters i have come to know so well. Excellent plot, ending. Narrator is perfect!

Review Truth

First...the story was decent. But why the romantic angle that did nothing to enhance the story's progression, develop characters, or entertain your readership? Second...the last second witness timing was so predictable, I felt a little insulted. Lastly, the voice actor did pretty well with the characterization of each member of the cast, but it was almost uncomfortable listening to her change her voice to strain for each of the male characters. I almost stopped the recording about 2 hours in after finding it difficult to fade my discomfort. But, I did manage to get to within 4 minutes of the conclusion. I'm sure you know why.
