Publisher's summary

Elantia, a seer, is kidnapped from her home on the coast of Britannia and sold as a slave in Ephesus. Her new owners take her to Philippi, where they put her to work each day in the marketplace telling fortunes. When they take from her the only good thing left in her life, she vows she will take her revenge and find her way home, even if she has to kill to do it.

After a devastating injury and vicious rumors, Tribune Quintus Valerius is dismissed from the army he loves. Given land in lieu of a cash pension, he settles in Philippi, but a betrayal forces him to become the city’s Keeper of the Prison. At least until the truth comes out.

Everything changes when a gentle Jewish preacher visits Philippi. Tia and Quin are both intrigued by Paulos’ message of peace, but it seems too good to be true. Are they willing to leave behind everything they know to experience a freedom like no other?

Great inspirational story!

Towriss wove an imaginative story while being true to the narrative from the Book of Acts. The narrator, Nora Kelly, was marvelous. I want more!

Uplifting Read

Well researched and written. This certainly left the reader well related to the subject of the book and the persons of Paul Timothy Silas Luke Lydia Epherditus - I Could keep listing including the Jailor all brought so much fact to light that we are slaves /servants to our One true living God no matter our position in this world.

This the first time I’ve listen to a biblical fiction book like this. I’m hooked. I could see the movie in my head.

Loved this book

I really enjoyed this work. Not only did she reference versus from where this book may have had its Setting, but she wrote it in a very believable way. I appreciated the history and the possibility of what transpired during these events of biblical history. Very good keep up the good work

Amazing story

This is my first book by this author. I wish there was more of her books on audible. The story was very well written. The writer captured your imagination and painted a beautiful picture. The storyline was excellent, and the narrator was perfect. Highly recommend this book

Half of the book seemed like a very long sermon!

I don’t mind faith based booked but ramming down the readers throat repeatedly old and tired evangelist concepts like a tiring sermon was a bit too much. Basically just past midway through the story the whole narrative is changed to st Paul, and the main story is quickly wrapped up in style of a soap opera with unrealistic happy ending after the reader is subjected to a very long winded repeated evangelist bombardment. A bit of waste of time to be going through this book!
