This book literally changed my life. I first bought it in 2003, when I was a broken, angry young man. When I read this I softened. I found love and happiness, things I figured were simply fairytales. Now as I approach 40 I am something I never thought I’d be. A happy man. And it all started with The Places That Scare You.
Do yourself a favour and listen to this. Remember Buddhism is a philosophy not a religion. I know many people who follow the path of the Buddha from many (and very different) religions.

I was recently introduced to Pema Chodron's writing and I cannot get enough of her teaching and wisdom. It is critical for all of us to learn from this type of wisdom so that we can get back to civil discourse in our communities, and our country.
