Patrick Lahm is down on his luck. Late for his book signing, out of gas, and stuck in a storm. He hitches a ride to the Kurtain Motel, where he is forced to spend the night. The small motel seems harmless enough at first, but as the night drags on, Patrick and the other guests slowly begin to realize there is a lot more to their temporary lodging than meets the eye.

"Confess"

It's been awhile since I've listened to a book and I thought the narration was okay. It took a little bit of time to get used to but once I adjusted to The Voice of the narrator it was easier to get into the book. We all have an idea of what people would sound like when we are reading a story and it can be awkward hearing it different from what you expect.
I absolutely loved the story. You get drawn in by the characters and the atmosphere around them. Not just the Storm at the motel but the internal battles of each person. There is just enough information given about every character, a little at a time, to keep you chasing the story.

I am never going to be able to go to church again because I’m going to sit in the pew and scream. This book is very well written a few too many characters to juggle at first but once you get going it makes sense why they are all there. Not only that but it is a great entry into the Sin series. Can’t wait for number two.

I purchased and read this 1st in series book in April, and given audiobook in September by Scare Street (THANK YOU) it is so much better to listen too. I love horror and ghosts stories. Loved the characters of Patrick, Jimmy and Connor. Patrick stopped at motel for the night due to storm, then all hell starts. This book was scary, creepy and thrilling better than the Slaughter series. Recommend to anyone who enjoys horror books, onto 2nd book.

BRILLIANT

The whole series from start to finish is simply addictive. Very original. Flows well. This series has made me want to read everything this other writes. Brilliant!

Hotel California, Steven King, and Dean Koontz.

This book is like the Eagles song Hotel California and the Twilight Zone in one, but Steven King and Dean Koontz decided to check in and write about their experience. That’s the best way I can describe this book of scary insanity. If you like stephen King and Dean Koontz as much as I do, or even if you only like one of them, then this book is just for you!
