Years ago, the SS Arcadia vanished without a trace during a routine voyage. Though a garbled emergency message was broadcast, neither the ship nor any of its crew could be found. Sixty years later, its wreck has finally been discovered more than 300 miles from its intended course...a silent graveyard deep beneath the ocean's surface. Cove and her dive team have been granted permission to explore the Arcadia's rusting hull. Their purpose is straightforward: examine the wreck, film everything, and, if possible, uncover how and why the supposedly unsinkable ship vanished.

Publisher's Summary
Inspired by a chilling true story....
It’s the day of his ex-wife’s wedding when Dan makes the winding mountain journey to a remote cabin for an escape from the life that another man has stepped into.
Less than 48 hours into his reprieve, the forest tranquility is shattered when he looks through a telescope and witnesses the violent abduction of a young woman.
Dan springs into action, but there’s no evidence of an abduction nor reports of a missing woman.
That is, until Dan sees the missing person’s poster for Ivy Trent.
He’s sure it’s the woman he saw get kidnapped just days before. There's only one problem. Ivy disappeared ten years ago.
If you’re searching for a paranormal thriller that you’ll be listening to with the lights on, grab Troubled Spirits today - the first in a series of stand-alone haunted mysteries inspired by true stories.

A bit disappointing
One of the things that really irritates me when I’m reading reviews, is the “this book is so scary” comments when it’s not scary at all. It was a really good book but it was definitely a thriller not a scary book. So if you’re looking for something that’s going to keep you scared at night and afraid to turn the lights off, this is not it.. if you’re looking for a great mystery this is your book

Captivating thriller
A girl goes missing without a trace. Years later, a detective gets tangled into the case which and finds out secrets hidden for years in the small town, including secrets his own family has kept.
This was a really good story. I was enticed from the start and the author did a really good job of making you suspect various characters before the final reveal in the climax. I got to really connect with the characters and felt I was embroiled in the mystery with them. I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating thriller that kept me entertained throughout.

WOW! Just wow!
Great story, not scary as some people claim but definitely a little bit spooky. I loved the story and was made even better by not having unnecessary graphic sex scenes as so many authors feel the need to do. For that, I’ll read fifty shades or something along those lines lol I love it when the author is able to give us a good story that keeps me engaged until the very last minute. RIP to the girl who inspired the beginning of the story. :(
