Unique Story with a Stellar Narrator!

Where does Firedancer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Firedancer is one of the better audiobooks I've listened to in the Fantasy genre. I tend to favor books by Brandon Sanderson, but this book by S. A. Bolich was actually very good.

What other book might you compare Firedancer to and why?

It's difficult to compare Firedancer because I haven't heard or read a similar story before, though I would say the feel of it is a bit like the Wild Magic or Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce.

Have you listened to any of Mary Ann Weathers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Mary Ann Weathers' narrations before, and this one is different from the ones she did previously. Her previous genre was romance fiction, so the voices were all more natural. This being fantasy, her character voices had more of a range, and were more unique. She gave each race a unique accent, and did a good job of making the characters sound the way they were written. If I read the book, or any future ones in the series, I'm sure I'll read them with her character voices in my mind. I'll definitely be open to listening to other projects narrated by this narrator, even if the story is of a different style.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

In a world dominated by nature magics that threaten humankind, a Firedancer will have to learn to work with her once enemies to save her friends.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this audiobook and hope that they get the same narrator to do the rest of the series. Soon!
