Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better. Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself—fangs, fur, and all.

Getting arrested wasn't on werewolf Ivy Kincaid's agenda when she arrived in Nocturne Falls, but her life rarely goes according to plan. The upside of spending the night in the local lock-up is finding a hotel room is no longer a worry...but the downside is the man she's come to marry will get his first impression of her behind bars. That's not exactly the way Ivy was hoping to meet her pack's sworn enemy...aka her fiancé.

Sheriff (and werewolf) Hank Merrow is the alpha's heir. Everything he's ever done, from becoming an Army Ranger to serving in law enforcement, has been in preparation for the day he'll take over. Getting married to cement a shaky truce is no different. Hank will do his duty, even if it means shackling himself to a woman he has no intention of liking, let alone loving. But Ivy is nothing like Hank expected. As feisty as she is beautiful, she's as determined as he is to make a go of marriage for the sake of peace between their packs. The trouble is, Ivy has secrets that could destroy everything Hank holds dear...including his newfound love for her.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Great series

Whereas Book 1 read like a stage-setting for a larger work, with little action and too much reflection, Book 2 moves out and keeps on going at a good pace. Now I'm looking forward to Book 3.

The Nocturne series gets better in book 2.

I love this book. It draws you in and you can't wait to get to the end of the story. The narrator was awesome. Keep it up. So far I love the series.

Love it

It is a cutesy romance novel with sexy male lead and a couple twists. The idea of a playful town where it celebrates Halloween all year round is very cute. I like the characters and it was a fun trashy novel to read.

What made the experience of listening to The Werewolf Meets His Match the most enjoyable?

The narration is fantastic

Would you recommend The Werewolf Meets His Match to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend it but only because I really enjoy book 1 and 3 of the series. I wasn't a huge fan of this plot.

What does B.J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration is superb, the voices Harrison gives to the characters really makes them come to life.

Any additional comments?

I loved book 1 and 3 in this series. Book 2? Meh. It wasn't great, BUT, keep on reading because book 3 is back on track.
