The Search for WondLa

By: Tony DiTerlizzi

Narrated by: Teri Hatcher

Now an animated series streaming on Apple TV+!

A girl leaves her underground home for the first time in this first book in the New York Times bestselling, richly illustrated space-age adventure The Search for WondLa middle grade series from cocreator of The Spiderwick Chronicles, Tony DiTerlizzi.

When a marauder destroys the underground sanctuary that Eva Nine was raised in by the robot Muthr, the twelve-year-old girl is forced to flee aboveground. Eva Nine is searching for anyone else like her: She knows that other humans exist because of an item she treasures—a scrap of cardboard on which is depicted a young girl, an adult, and a robot, with the strange word, “WondLa.”

The strange aboveground world seems to be full of horrors, with walking trees, terrifying creatures, and an enterprising taxidermist, but in her travels, Eva finds new alien friends who join her on her quest for a place to belong. Can this new found family help her find what she seeks?

LOVED IT I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK! I bought the whole series in book form

OMG soo good

Just finished this book and I loved it. I did get skittle confused with some parts from the book and some parts from the audio wasn't talked from the book. I loved the ending though. It was very shocking to me. I was upset that muthur and Otto had to go 😞

Not bad, not that good

Interesting story that could use a lot more of everything. Terry hatcher did a good job with it though. The paper version has awesome artwork. The audio version is a little flat.

I’ve always loved the Wandla Series

As always an amazing story that I could read over and over again. I love the author, he’s such a sweet soul and the narrator did a great job as well.

Awesome book!

Pretty easy to understand even though the lore seems complicated but it isn't. Great character development while they are all likeable. Very interesting and immersive lore. Plots were terrific, not boring at all. Overall an awesome and interesting book, and this is coming from someone who is very picky about novels, I can't think of anything bad about this book.
