Publisher's Summary

When Ozzy’s scientist parents are kidnapped, he responds to a classified ad in the local newspaper and hires a “wizard” named Rin who claims that his magic is real, but Ozzy isn’t convinced.

In the final book of the Wizard for Hire trilogy, Ozzy and his friend (and Rin’s daughter), Sigi, are in danger. They are still being hunted by Ray, the power-mad villain who will stop at nothing to find the formula to the mind-controlling discipline serum - one that Ozzy’s parents created and injected into him.

Knowing the dangers that lie ahead, Rin introduces Ozzy to four more friends who also claim magical, wizard-like abilities. Again, Ozzy has no reason to believe that magic exists or that Rin’s eccentric friends can help.

With the injection of the mind-controlling serum, Ozzy is learning to control the minds of animals as well as people. His new powers make him wonder if magic is necessary. Rin says believing is key to seeing the magic all around us, but Ozzy isn’t so sure anymore.

Rin, Ozzy, and Sigi must act quickly, as the minds and free will of all mankind are in danger of being controlled by whoever controls the serum. The wild ride plays out in a nonstop, nail-biting battle at a popular fantasy convention.

In this series finale, Ozzy will find out if his kidnapped parents are still alive, and he’ll discover that real friends are like magic: they make the impossible, possible.

This Book is a whole new world

I loved this book because of the cool doubts and action. No spoilers in this review that’s why I am only gonna say I loved the plot. The bad guys were realistic and life like. I recommend this book to all of my fellow tweens out there.

An ogre of a book!

Great storyline. Well paced throughout. Starts right into the action like the others and builds momentum to a surprising conclusion. A good choice for any school age and beyond. I’m 35 and thoroughly enjoyed the humor and witty narration. I listened sped up to half again the normal speed at about 1.5 or 1.7X because it’s funnier with quicker response time between characters. Definitely some philosophy woven into the character’s dialogue and description. Each twist reveals its own magic. I’ll listen several more times and get hard copies like I do any book that stands out to me. Also, great casual listening on car trips with the kids. These books are like ogres. Get it? there’s layers. Get this entire series and settle in for fulfilling but lighthearted fun.

A favorite

I read/listen to a lot of bookies and Ive been around a while. And in that time, this has to be one of the best stories I’ve heard. Absolutely entertaining, charming, laugh out loud funny, and heartfelt. Excellent job to Kirby Heyborne and Obert Skye!

Refreshingly enjoyable and well done

It was such a pleasure to listen to a story that focused on positive thinking and characters. It's all too common today to find authors who choose to write about the same negative thinking and dark personalities. I found it so refreshing and never wanted to stop listening!

I read all 3 books in this series and enjoyed each one. I'm looking forward to checking out more from this author.

spell binding

i didn't know what to expect but after the second book i was hooked and this one was a delightful finish to the series and i would say was worth every second listening. the narrator was good and did a great job of portraying the emotions the characters felt when they spoke and I'm looking forward to seeing where else his career will take him.

Loved the twist

Great ending to a series! This book series had me the whole time thinking it could go this or it could go that and in the end it worked out perfectly.

I think that Obert Skye has really made this end in a way that he could write some other short stories to go along with these.

If you don’t have time, make some because you are sure to want to find out how it ends.

worth a listen

This book was exciting and fun to listen to. the performance was well done. The story was somewhat lacking depth. It was enough to make the listen to all 3 parts but not enough that I am fiendish for the 4th.
