Valuable info. Strong accent.
I find the ayurvedic system very interesting and am wanting to experiment with it. This book gives a nice overview of the subject while delivering some wisdom.
The narrator was a little difficult to understand. I usually am pretty good at understanding accents, however I found myself reflecting about as often on the question "what was that word he just said?" and on the information presented.

Gorgeous!
Such a beautiful soul, Dr Lad is today’s foremost expert in the instruction of Ayurveda, this book is so wonderful both for the seasoned student of the science and those looking for an introduction. It is such a gift to have him Narrate it as well. Having studied with Dr Lad, I say first hand that he is a living master and an embodiment of so many divine attributes. This book is worth your time.

Wonderful knowledge
This books reads as a series of lessons. They are told almost casually as if I were sitting in a lecture hall. I really loved the format and the flow. The knowledge inside was very useful and I will definitely listen to this multiple times. The author and narrator has an accent yes but I could understand him fine.

Dr. Lad is a true healer. His voice might have an accent but with sincere listening you will understand what he is saying. Furthermore, as a gifted meditation practitioner, his voice carries great prana and blessings.

Donning Respect
I have listened to this and many other of Dr. Lads works and each time I listen, I gather a greater awareness of the beauty of AYURVEDA. I appreciate his heavy accent because he has mastered many languages, including ancient Sanskrit, and frankly speaks better English than some whose native language is English. I am studying AYURVEDA with another amazing teacher and can only hope to meet Dr. Lad someday.

Should have got help for narration
The author is well known in the field of Ayurveda. I was looking forward to educating my self and therefore purchased the book. However, it was so difficult to listen to as the accent is so strong and pronunciation is almost incomprehensible. There are grammatical errors in English. Why couldn't the author get professional help for narration? The book could have been enjoyed and helped so many more people.

A life's must read!
Simple, logical understanding of Ayurveda as a science of life. Dr. Lad highlights the importance of adopting a lifestyle suitable to each person's unique individuality, in order to reach optimal health and happiness. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Ayurveda or simply wants to become familiar with a well defined understanding of this profound philosophy and science of life. Grateful for this Writing
I am no newcomer to Ayurveda, but I picked up many tidbits from this book and I really enjoyed the levity and wisdom that Dr. Lad brought to his narration. His accent brings a sense of authenticity to the reading; I'm so glad it was narrated by the author. I didn't have any challenge with understanding what he was saying, but there were times when I wish he would have included the spelling of words that were unfamiliar (he did spell several words, but not all). The concepts are so logical and the information really supported my learning about Ayurveda. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is on their own learning path.

Amazing book on Ayurveda
I think this is one of the best books I have listened on Ayurveda until now. I really liked the chapter regarding the first stages of the desease and the last chapter that gives insight on pregnancy and breastfeeding.
