Publisher's summary

The long-simmering crisis that grips our culture has exploded in recent years, leaving us divided and intransigent. Discourse seems futile when we are no longer a people with shared principles or even a shared understanding of reality. What seems obvious to one person is patently absurd to the next.

This collapse of meaning is not accidental. It has been plotted and documented for decades, and now presents in its current form as Woke ideology.

Awake, Not Woke unmasks this ideology by examining its history, major players, premises, and tactics, showing us that “Wokeness” at its core is an ideology of rupture. Indeed, it is an ideology with fundamentalist and even cult-like characteristics that is on a collision course with Christianity.

With a wit and clarity, Noelle Mering provides answers to such questions as:

Why does tolerance seem to only go in one direction?

How does the ideology create enemies, eroding friendship across the sexes and races?

Why is violence the natural end of Woke ideology?

Why have politics become all-absorbing?

Why is the corruption of children a logical outgrowth of Woke principles?

How is the movement fundamentally a rejection of the Logos?

The architects of revolution have long known that the transformation of the West had to come by way of destabilizing the social, familial, and religious pieties of a citizenry.

But there is a road to restoration, and it begins with identifying and understanding the operating principles of the Woke movement. While the revolution is a counterfeit religion resulting in alienation and division, the One True Faith brings restoration. It is this restoration—of the person, the family, and the Faith—for which we all hunger and is the most fitting avenue toward a more harmonious and whole society.

What the world needs now!

I read this book hoping to glean some insight on this whole ‘woke’ movement.
What I discovered was an insidious agenda that was put into motion generations ago and is, at it’s heart, nothing more than the serpent’s 1st temptation back in the garden, “ye will be like gods!”

How the woke emerged

The cause is 90% of the cure… it awakens one to the underlying methods used by the progressive agenda to reengineer society. Well done and accessible to most people.

Excellent wrapper around the Woke movement.

This book explains well the historic and philosophical basis of the contemporary, radical and tyrannical progressive moment… which is well dubbed “Woke”. Essentially the deliberate attempt to destroy Judie-Christian philosophy and family structure, along with American Constitutional structuring of governance and society.

These are really dangerous and sour times, and I like how the author counters the gloomy trends with statements of faith and affirmation of the teachings and hope that are inherent to Catholic Christianity. Bravo.

Excellent Explanation and Summary

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, It puts into perspective all the craziness that seems to be surrounding us all. The explanations allow one to understand the “why” of all the chaos and permits us to come back to center, and how best to continue to move forward in a truly Christian fashion.

Homophobic Manifesto

This gem of a propaganda piece i got on sale for 5 dollars to add to my conspiracies and nasty book collection. i got a couple hours left of it but to sum up the content of the book:

- Ad Hominem Fallacies
- Paradoxial Argumentation
- Radical Conservative Views
- Radical Biblical Views
- Belittling Christians of Different Denominational Beliefs
- Anti Marxist Views
- Quotes George Orwell within the first 20 minutes
- Weak Deconstruction of CRT
- Vague Understanding of Gender Dysphoria and Trans discrimination
- Standard Family Structure Argumentation
- Anti BLM
-Compared progressive protesters in the u.s to some ramblings about the Mao Dynasty.
- Lack of thorough quotation for the opposing side of her arguments
- Use of big word when little do trick
- Uses Platitudes often
- Uses a fairy tale in an argument
- Belittled a parent for offering a condom to their kid when they found out they were sexually active after rather than belittling their kid for being homosexual. Sayed something along the lines of being a tool of the woke secular agenda for doing so.

Its okay for a laugh but its hardly useful for information of a educated non radical conservative Christian perspective. It isnt very informative though because the arguments and beliefs are so silly and lackluster in evidence. I've read better conspiracy books with more oomf to them than this, it doesnt even make my stomach hurt its just silly most of the time. Waste of time and money dont buy it unless its on sale, or if you align with her views I guess but theres better books out there which will propagate these beliefs.
