Repetitive, inaccurate, and poorly written
This book is truly awful. My guess is that the people who liked it are brand new to the principles of autophagy and/or ketosis. I really, really tried to get through this book. I made it past the halfway mark and just couldn't do anymore because the scientific inaccuracies are frustrating to say the least. There are some things that the author says that are true (for example, one of the best ways to induce autophagy and ketosis is to fast), but there are a lot of other things that are untrue (for example the idea that it takes less than 24 hours to get into ketosis, when it's actually somewhere around 2 to 3 days if you're switching from a regular standard American diet). The book is poorly written, too, with the overuse of words such as "actually," "basically," and the like. What makes this book truly horrible, though, is the repetitive nature of everything. By some miracle, this author is able to repeat the exact same principles in 50 different ways in a row. It is painful to attempt to get through this book. Lastly, I was hoping that the author would start the book by explaining his credentials in some manner. That didn't happen. I looked into it myself and couldn't find much. It seems that he's just written a bunch of other diet books, but he does not seem to be a scientist, doctor, registered dietitian, or anything like that. Dr. Jason Fung can give you a much better explanation of autophagy, ketosis, and fasting. I recommend his books instead.

Good book but robot narrator
The book provided A good overview and information on autophagy. In line with others that I have read although there were a few new things for example the authors take on keto.
The biggest issue is with the narration. It really does feel like it is any computer generated voice rather than a real person. The only reason I assume it is a person is because there is a name listed otherwise you would be certain that it was just a voice like Siri. This made it hard to enjoy
