Publisher's summary

Humanity had been unintentionally sending radio signals to the stars for over 200 years. That was how they were located.

Humanity’s population had continued to grow until the loss of so many of their fellow Earth species grew appalling and threatened their very existence. Whether it was from the instinct for self-preservation or wisdom gained from experience, humanity had finally found a balance with the natural world that it is a part of. That balance was found but it had cost the burgeoning population of humankind many of the freedoms that their recent and distant ancestors took for granted.
Many people accepted the restrictions because they grew up in the world as it was. Some longed for the freedom of the more natural world that their ancestors enjoyed. Ross and Judy Fogerty wanted the freedom of a more natural world and decided to emigrate to one of Earth’s colonies in the nearby stars.

This is a story of their adventure and its intersection with aliens seeking the source of the radio signals.
