Publisher's summary

A Reincarnation Isekai Light Novel.

Getting assassinated sucks. Just ask Thomas, a man from Earth who made a few too many enemies. Or you could ask Lucian, the crown prince of another world who met a similar fate.

But if you were to ask either of them, then you'd actually be asking the same man, as Thomas' soul was crammed into Lucian's body during their simultaneous assassinations.

The Goddess who reincarnated him didn't do it for free, though. She tasked Lucian with the simple quest of saving the Almekian Kingdom from the brink of collapse.

At least, it would be simple for someone like Lucian, if it weren't for the God's Acolyte who's wreaking havoc in his new world. Not to mention the numerous other powerful players who don't really hold the crown prince in high regard.

With a blade lurking behind every corner, can Lucian even survive long enough to see the crown placed on his head?

Action, magic, and intrigue. And a cute foxgirl companion, of course.

Mid

Not a good book but not a bad one either.

Sometimes the MC was the smartest person in the room, and sometimes he’s making thoughtless decision. Sometimes the narration was excellent and sometimes the narrator is using their indoor voice when the character is outside in mid combat. Sometimes the plot thickens and sometimes it’s as stale as bread left out overnight.

Overall, the plot was intriguing and the MC was decent, but it lacked depth.

👍👍👍👍👍I hope there are more books to come in this series! The MC is great along with a really good supporting cast! The story is captivating! The narrators also do a good job of bringing the story to life! Great job Michael Plymel!

FLOOF

Isekai, reincarnation, magic, and all the usual stuff here. But most importantly, it has floof! Give me more floofy ears and soft tails!

if you like false hero you probably will like this

the goddess has the mc reborn as the 17 year old prince of the kingdom. tons of issues, he has no knowledge of the kingdom, no knowledge of the world, there is a war going on, and a famine oh and there oh and he expected to fix this and take on this evil that wants to destroy the world.

also this may be a sequel/same universe as the false hero. if the second imortal is who i it is.

Wow! Where did this author come from?

I'd never heard of this author but the artwork and blurb got me hooked.
This is an amazing LitRPG story!
I highly recommend it.
The MC has a goddess take his spirit, after he dies on Earth and put it into the body of a prince on another world that was killed along with his family. And now he has to fix the kingdom and become the king and find out who killed his family.
No harem or spice, but lots of action and intrigue.
I sure hope there's a book 2.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

the dynamic of the Mc and disdain for tyranny is still great.

Pacing is weird. Worldbuilding is lacking for the length. go back to the editor as well there's a few mistakes left in the recording.

Loud and Needs Editor

Politician dies gets isekai. It takes several hours for the main character to start kinging it up. instead the story starts with harem building. This hurts the pacing with many overly long scenes lack depth and world building because white ears must be discussed in length.

The end battle is nearly an hour long of tedious tit for tat with the primary antagonist. In the end it is pointless because king to be does not win. Beastwoman #385 swiftly ends the conflict. This just pad the reason out in an epilogue.

Many of the issues pacing wise could have been corrected with another editor pass and a bit of scene trimming.

The voice actors were a bit over the top. This could have been fixed with not compressing their voices to make it feel louder. Sounded like today’s music mixing efforts.
