Publisher's summary

I was created as the ultimate dungeon trap. A living suit of armor that devours any adventurer who dons me.

My master created me for his entertainment, leading adventurers to ruin. Betraying them at the last moment, just when their glorious victory was on hand.

I have been found again by the newest member of a quartet of dungeon crawlers. Poor fool. This time will be no different.

Or does it have to be?

Maybe I don't need to spend eternity left in a deep, dark dungeon waiting to devour would-be heroes. Maybe, just maybe, I can take him over and use this new identity to leave and masquerade as an adventurer myself.

Betray my master—my purpose—and grow strong enough to find a new one. One problem. Hopefully, my new companions won't realize I'm not who, or what, they think I am.

Don't miss this progression fantasy epic from debut author C.B. Titus, about a cursed suit of mimic-armor and an unsuspecting hero. Perfect for fans of Dungeons and Dragons, The Murderbot Diaries, Goblin Slayer, and lovers of all things progression fantasy/GameLit.

Like a D&D story, but only the good parts.

The story felt like a campaign for D&D, but it was well fleshed out with strong world building, and especially good for a stand-alone book. I love the characters and how well the lead developed as the story progressed. If the author ever continues in this world I would love to read it.

Complete story

Overall a very fun and best of all complete story. No 20 book and 30 years later for this story. There were some pretty cliché parts in it but the author did a great job with how unique the MC is.

Really fun stand alone story, great narrator

Love Heath Miller’s narration.
Great story progression and as a stand alone novel it stands out.
Fun premise with solid characters who act according to their character.
Progression is fun to see across the novel.
Wraps up really well. We’ll worth the credit.

happy ending

this story is a amazing and the way it was written is very well done. I happy and sad that it came to an end. but the author has full Stars and the voice of the story portrayed it in such stunning ways that I almost got brought to tears by how it all went. it made me think of all sorts of ideas for dnd and pathfinder, and even creating my own version of the story but to be more interactive and for groups to play a part in. though I could never pull something so masterfully created such as this to light. thank you for writing this truly wonderful book.

A genuinely solid stand alone

Armor is a very good self contained story that moves along at a good pace. The main cast are solid characters and the narration is quality.

good story

I really enjoyed the story a very clever twist on an old school dungeon delve not a huge fan of the narration but I guess you can't have everything.

A solid fantasy with a D&D feel.

A solid story with a good balance between action and comedy. A lot of tropes, but well executed. A few points I was worried it would turn dark or tragic but luckily it didn't, It feels like it could've been stretched into a 3+ book adventure but everything wrapped everything up nicely by the end so no complaints. It doesn't have the zing I look for but then again I've never been a big D&D/Witcher fan. No stat sheets is a nice change from my usual fair as well.

Interesting book with a great narrator.

Heath Miller could read the phone book and make it interesting. He does a stand up job with a very diverse set of characters.

The book is a fantastic one shot with an interesting and unique start.

An enjoyable adventure from start to finish.

Great pacing. Likable characters. Well put together. It has room to expand but alone it is a complete epic.
