Publisher's summary

Maximo Strident and the Apocalypse Knights venture deeper into the Apocalypse Horizon. More and more dungeons appear, and it quickly becomes apparent that their previous methods might not cut it.

Even as he acquires more levels, spells, and items, Max is faced by a new enemy. This enemy is known as the Slaughterman, a diabolical fiend who threatens not only Max himself but his companions.

All the while, the Cosmic Logos watches, and it’s starting to think the time has come to intervene....

Rushed

First 2 books were better characters wise and flora would of been a better love interest imo the sword chick is a phychopath and just such a weird relationship that makes no sense for max being such a smart character

Hollow

This book turned in a new direction away from what made this series special. This resulted in the book feeling hollow and with all the time skips the book feels rushed. Max no longer really interacted with characters from the first 2 books besides the main romantic interest. Max's class also lost what made it interesting because we didn't see any new spell combinations. Overall this book was a struggle to finish and a disappointment.

New Direction

The story line went dark with the transition away from the main character and the development of the MCs significant other. Simply put to much I just want to slaughter--the story line went in a direction I did not anticipate.
