Publisher's Summary

“Us. We’re okay, aren’t we, mukka?” (Jack Harrison)

Video footage of Jack sleeping with Cutter, a man who mutilated teenagers for his own sadistic streak, should have stayed dead and buried with the man who had filmed it. Yet when footage of Jack’s past starts appearing on internet porn sites, Jack’s whole world is again turned on its head. At first the porn links are done to unsettle, to disrupt Jack’s fire-and-ice world: all the sexed-up adrenaline of being caught between the pleasure of Gray Raoul’s BDSM kink and the gentleness of Jan Richards’ vanilla touch. But when the content of the porn sites force even Gray to turn his back on Jack, leaving Jack isolated and away from the full protection of the Masters’ Circle, Jack is left at the mercy of a group of men who are out to alter Jack’s whole perception on his BDSM lifestyle and the reality of being Jack Harrison.

As brutally as possible, Jack’s sex life is now a live webcam feed for a whole new audience.

masterly written, best choice with Dan Calley

Gosh, this was something different. I have even more respect for the author now HEARING all those words she wrote down. Dan Calley did an amazing job with this heavy story. It’s so passionate and desperate, I almost couldn’t handle it listening to all the despair.

Dan absolutely hit everything that could be hit! All the emotions, he did un unbelievable good job, he made me choke up more than once! The different voices with their own pitches, I was in awe, so impressive done. Deep bow!

About the story!

I’m out of words... nothing, read: nothing is comparable with this story. And no words can describe what it did to me.

A Top Shelf Masterpiece Psychological BDSM Thriller!

Could Antidote overrule Don’t #1..? Impossible -but-oh-my-freak’n-god, it did, it did..!!

For the first time ever I had trouble to start a story. I didn’t read any reviews because afraid of spoilers. I understand there are some warnings, I heard it from the author and through the grapevine.

So this is how it started. Jan with them as a fresh breeze. Fun, joy getting to know each other more. The power exchange is one of a kind. Gray, for me Master of Masters, knows exactly how to handle Jack, in between deliciously vanilla Jan. Jack is in awe. Jack is in love!

When the torture from his past caught up with him, the torture turns into the most horrible darkest nightmare. Jan is caught into this nightmare.

A dark hurtful passionate story. One of a kind! So much love, I was floored, completely floored!

Watching the three of them was highly and forcefully erotic and enormously arousing!

At times I had to stop, just to collect myself.

Their journey made all my senses on high alert! I wanted to prepare myself but it wasn’t enough. They made me stumble, tremble and fall hard and pull me down into the abyss. I wanted to scream out loud.

We are talking here about an extraordinary, intelligent and masterly developed story. Jack, Gray and Jan are the most amazing characters I’ve ever seen. Jack’s complicated beautiful mind is one of a kind. Gray’s protectiveness over Jack is of a level so high and so deep I’m out of words. Their connection is from a whole other world, again I can’t find words, even looking in the deepest of my soul I can’t find them.

This is one of darkest, vicious reads I’ve ever witnessed, unequaled in every way!

At moments I had to distanced myself, put up a wall up, it was so so hard to digest.

In those moments I thought there would never be light again, it felt so depressingly dark.

When minds opened and mouth speak, the world explode and went silent, I cried my eyes out.

An unequaled story.

Highly recommended!! Not for the faint of heart!

Chewed up all my nails , I did!!

5 Blue Roses
5 Blue Flames

Narrator Dan Calley, once more continues to successfully convey the gruesome, dark and twisted master dom and sub series written by the uniquely gifted author Jack L. Pyke. This audiobook does come with a warning label. I was able to continue listening once I knew to expect abduction, rape and torture.

Dan Calley has the ability to manipulate his voice and tempo to bring dump trucks full of heavyhearted emotions. Leaving me with "one beat up and two beats down" murderous anxious frustrations. By then I had to deflate and just let myself cry.
I recommend this audiobook if you like your books on the darker side. It does not end in a cliffhanger, but it is a thriller, so expect some mysterious surprises.

Happy Listening

Can be confusing, but worth it

This trilogy is an intense psychological thriller that is absolutely fascinating. The second book resolves plot twists that were left unexplained in the first book. But the motivations of some of the peripheral characters that are revealed strain credibility. I’m hoping that the actions of several characters begin to make more sense in the final volume.

WOW Not sure I can review to audible

I have been around but this audible is so dark that even I had a hard time listening to it. This audible covers the darkest parts of mankind were audible book one showed the fun and caring of a Dom and his Slave. This audible covered the a very black side but not of just of the BDSM world but of a mother who will try to destroy her son and his lover by paying for people to kidnap them and do thing like, rape, burning and much more as she sat back and watched it happen and later showed no remorse.
To be honest it is an excellent story but be prepared for some rough nights sleeping.

little bit of everything all rolled together

this series seems to have a little bit of everything rolled all together dark (sometimes very dark), very sexy, a few smiles and chuckles, sweet, lots of angst but that is all want makes this so worth the listen. and Dan just brings Jacks words come to life it would not be as good (in my opinion) with anyone else narrating.

OMG!!

OMG is what I need to say after listening to this story. I am loving this dark psychological thriller! I thought that the first was good but this one is even better. Jack L. Pyke made such a amazingly dark read that I just love. Then Dan Calley does such an amazing job in the narration that just makes this story even better. Beautiful done!

Just Keeps Getting Better

Book two in the Don't... series was just as incredible as the first one! If you enjoy your MM books dark, thrilling, and edgy, I can't recommend this more highly. And, the narration is absolutely sublime.

Disturbing…in a good way

This book comes with a strong trigger warning – but it’s only visible on the first page of the actual book. It doesn’t appear on the blurb. It should, but things don’t always work that way. So I’ll say it now: BUYER BEWARE. This is a dark psychological thriller. This isn’t dubious con, this is non-con. This is a book that exposes the level of human depravity. This book goes where most don’t.

And it’s a bleeping amazing ride.

As with the first book in the Don’t series, I knew I was getting dark. That’s okay, I like dark. It’s BDSM, but often the negative sides of the lifestyle. That’s okay, I knew going into it that this wasn’t a warm and fuzzy book with people who understand safe, sane, and consensual. But I was consenting to be taken on a mind fuck and man did this book live up to its promise.

Jack is the damaged soul around whom the story revolves. He has a number of psychological disorders including Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). But those are just labels and although they are part of him, they don’t define him. He is more than just those illnesses. He’s also a man who fell under the spell of a powerful psychopath when he was a teenager. That damage was far more lasting than anything else and that relationship continues to haunt him, even as an adult.

Jan is a man along for the ride. He met Jack quite by happenstance and they’ve fallen into a vanilla relationship of sorts. Jan is soft in all the right ways, caring for Jack. I’m not always sure he gets as much out of the relationship, but he seems happy enough. There is even, in the end, love there – I think.

Gray is the man who rescued Jack all those years ago and has kept him close but at arms-length ever since. Only at the end of Don’t did he admit his feelings for Jack. He is Jack’s Master and their relationship has been defined by their membership into the Master’s Circle. Jack is a professional submissive, training would-be Doms. Gray is the mentor who oversees the training. He is also a serious badass. Just sayin’.

This is a long book. Worth the listen, but long nonetheless. The real meat of the story starts when Gray receives a video of Jack being abused by Cutter (the psychopath) all those years ago. I’m not sure why, but it really pushes him over the edge and he sends Jack away. What follows next is the most horrific period of Jack and Jan’s life. Given all Jack has endured, that’s saying something. The scenes are disturbing and I was never quite sure what was real and what was part of some drug-induced haze. How the men survived, I’m not quite sure.

See, psychological reconditioning sounds relatively innocuous. In real life it can be incredibly damaging. Think of the conversion therapy camps where children are sent so the ‘gay’ can be prayed away. Only the hell Jack and Jan endure is so much worse. Part of the reconditioning involves the phrase “a real man…” How many times has that phrase been used to hurt young boys or men?

There is always a question of who is involved at the top and I’ll say I didn’t see that coming and will leave it at that.

This is a disturbing book and not for the faint at heart. But I truly enjoyed it and hope the next book will come out soon. I got a satisfying ending but it definitely left me wanting more.

Dan Calley is an amazing narrator. He was able to take me to dark places with dark people and yet never lose the humanity involved. He has great voices for each character and his skill was on full display. Well done.

Faultless

I started this after reading and listening to the discretionary warnings and got through the first few chapters effortlessly. Then...bam! I put my Fire and ebook copy aside, read and listened to a bit more the next day, and the next, then reached that point where I couldn't stop.

I don't know what it is. The writing is faultless and I'm thoroughly invested in the 3 main characters (Jan is my favourite). The development of the plot is breathtaking and I lived every minute of it. The chance to see a more "human" Gray is worth waiting for. I did realise who is behind things and the probable reasoning fairly early on, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment.

Narrator Dan Calley is excellent once again. I love all his different voices, even the female ones, and I swear I hear Jack's "f" word in my sleep!

I have both the audiobook and ebook of Book 3 already and can't wait to see where things go.

Raw emotional journey

This second book in the series had me on the edge of my seat from the start. It is not a book for those easily upset by the dark themes included. It is so well written you cannot help but feel the pain of Jack, Gray and Jan as they experience the torture, abuse and mind games designed to pull them apart. The question is are they strong enough to get through it and can their love keep them together or mean they are better alone?

👀😯😬😣😤😵😍 just a snippet of my emotions whilst listening

I received this audiobook by the author and this is my honest opinion.
Oh My God ! what an intense listen. The boys certainly went through the motions in this book which I knew was going to happen but flipping heck it really brought it home having basically lived through it with the characters, their voices, pained, uncertain, scared. I think because you could hear what they were feeling and the consequences of what they had to deal with, it becomes more real then when your reading it in your head. I take my hat off🎩 to the narrator for a bliming good job, to hear Vince and Henry and someone who must not be named( and someone who was probably not heard from again💀) being brought to life was good. We really got the feel of their sadistic cruel natures. I'm loving gray, Jack and Jan. A really highly emotive listen but like with all good things sometimes the journey getting there is hard and fraught with potholes. An avenging gray is a scary prospect and of course soft lad Jan. Really well done listen.😀

Mesmerising

Get ready for your heart to be squeezed so hard. Between Jack L Pyke’s mesmerising story and Dan Calley’s smooth narration I was caught. I had to keep listening to find out what was happening to Jack and Jan. More importantly why were they targeted and abused. The depictions of the psychological games are very well crafted. I just had to stop and listen whilst I inwardly railed against those harming Jack and Jan. Excellent book that is perfectly narrated.
