Publisher's Summary

One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.

The inalienable right of citizens of the United States of America to keep and bear arms has been rescinded by the changing tides in US politics, but not all is peaceful. The Minutemen take up the task of resistance, and place themselves on a collision course with the very country they call home. What will the consequences be for the men and women on both sides of the conflict, and for their country? What happens when peaceful people are pushed to violence by intolerable circumstances? Where does one draw the line between fighting for one’s freedom, and open insurrection?

Thrilling

This is only a start to an incredible series! The libtards are trying to take away our guns and are using uncle same to do it until 3% stand up and remind them of their place.

A little short but worth a credit

This was a pretty good book. It gets a little hard to follow sometimes the story jumps around a bit but overall worth the credit to read . The author left himself room for another book.

For the love of God somebody get the protagonist a non-hipster pistol.

The kind of story you think about for a long time.

I sometimes wonder how this could ever happen. Great book raising awareness to how easy our rights could be lost. One law at a time. Showing the fight to get them back.

This is a must listen

Such a great book. For being the first book from this author I think he did a great job. Even though this is fiction, I feel it is something that could happen. The idea that there are people in the government who want you defenseless is real. Tyler did an amazing job not to mention his position in government and how supportive he is for gun rights. Can't wait for the second book.

Great story, that may be prophetic.

The story line is well thought out and written. I have already read the book. Yet want the added dynamic of audio.

While I certainly enjoyed the narrators voice and inflections, the occasionally mispronounced words stood out to me. As well as the audio quality differences that can be heard occasionally at different points in the narration.

Yet listening to the book was was throughly enjoyable.

You need to check out this author, great read.

TLDR - Phil Rabalais does an excellent job turning a fictional work into reality. Everything in his book is believable and the story does not read like it was written by a first-time author.

American Insurgent has two separate parts to it. There is a fictional story that is the story itself about a man who will do anything to protect his family from an increasingly tyrannical government.
The second part is the hidden message that we as a country are not far away from this story coming true. Politicians pass increasingly harsh gun restrictions and the last bastion of freedom is at risk of falling.

Overall American Insurgent does not have the feel of a first-time author and is wonderfully written and the audiobook is well produced. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in a good story or is in a prepper mindset.

Great Book!!!

This is a great read with a compelling story! Although a work of fiction the story is not unbelievable! We as a nation are slowly losing our Liberties! It is not too much of a reach to see something like this in our future..... I pray it never happens! Good job Phil I look forward to the next one!!!
