Publisher's summary

A stolen election. An unlikely heroine. The Second American Civil War.

When Ava is snatched from the hands of violent agitators by the ominous man who has been stalking her, she fears her fate may be worse than death.

Political discord between right and left has reached the flashpoint. Hostile rhetoric has given way to bloodshed and brutality.

The tentacles of the deep state have infiltrated every facet of American culture. The public education system, entertainment industry, and mainstream media have all been hijacked by a shadow government intent on fomenting a communist revolution in the United States. The antagonistic message of this agenda has poisoned the minds of America’s youth who are convinced that capitalism and conservatism are responsible for all the ills of the world. Violent protest and widespread destruction will bring America to her knees.

Ava's had a hard life . . . and it's about to get a whole lot tougher!

The deck is stacked against 29-year-old Ava. She’s a fighter, but she’s got trust issues and doesn’t always make the best decisions. Her personal complications aren’t without merit, but America is on the verge of a second Civil War, and Ava must pull it together if she wants to survive.

Trouble seems to follow Ava where ever she goes. The onset of the Second American Civil War should be no different. Caught in a vicious protest, she’ll have to do the unthinkable to stay alive.

Life only gets more difficult for Ava when she spots a sinister figure watching her every move. Who is the strange man with the scar on his face and what does he want with Ava?

Don’t miss this chilling tale of America’s Civil War 2.0! Start listening today and get a glimpse into the dark future in store for our country.

This is the complete three-book box set including:

Action-packed account of the coming Civil War

Great story read by a fantastic narrator. Ava goes from one perilous predicament to the next. My head didn't stop spinning from the time I started reading it.

The saga is written from a Christian, conservative world view. And while no one seems to be bothered that all the characters on prime time TV and in Hollywood movies are far-left atheists, this does seem to trigger a need for a safe space in some folks.

This is not the book to listen to at bed time! The threats addressed are very real and might keep you up at night.

A fantastic literary work

I have thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. Even though my political and religious viewpoints are dramatically different than the author, the story and writing were of such quality that I just couldn't stop listening. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, but especially liberals and non-Christians. At the very least, I hope this work reminds us all that peoples of different perspective are not inherently evil. They often have the best interests of the majority in mind, just different opinions and approaches.
Thank you Mr. Goodwin, for such a heartfelt story.
Additionally, the narrator of this story is fantastic. She has tremendous inflection and diction, while maintaining a consistent and enjoyable listening experience.

One of the best.....

This is by far one of the best books that I have listened to. Mark Goodwin is a great author and have enjoyed many of his books. This was no exception. The narrator did an excellent job. I found it very hard to stop listening. My 38 year old son actually recommended the book to me so just because it’s a female narrator it’s not a girls story. Would be a great book to listen to while traveling. It moves along at a fast pace. Definitely recommend the book. I wish there were more volumes.

The Fruits of A Country's Division

Narration was excellent! So glad there was a female lead character. My husband enjoyed listening to the books as much as I did. Glad we got the entire series. What's sad about this story is just how well it projects into the future the fruit of division in our Country. Its something I wouldn't want to see happen, but its very possible. I don't want to give away too many spoilers.

Ava grows into a woman of maturity, using her quick, analytical mind to make plans and contingencies. She's brave! She has a strong heart, strong faith and is a woman of action, a Sarah Connor (Terminator) style character. The two male lead characters are full of integrity, military acumen, love and strong faith as well. Story is very well written, thoughtful with lots of insight. Well worth the read.

outstanding series

This author has always been one of my favorites. One comes to care for the characters of the novels, and the story is one which may very well happen in our Republic some day. Other than the very minor error is describing the insignia of a major for that of colonel, the books are wonderful.

I shouldn't have enjoyed it

This story features a loty of things I'm not interested in, lik:
1) guns
2) Religion
3) Conservetism.

Frankly I kept listening thorugh to the end and didn't skip sections and I didn't find the above three detracting from the story. No-one who voted Democrat won't like this book, but I don't have a dog in that race.

I have two major niggles.

Ava'a father seems like a Dues Ex character. and I found the author use of this charact irritating I don't want to give specific examples because it might spoil the plot.

We're introduced to two children, one id Danielle who si Ava's friend's Charity's daughter, neither is mentioned through book second or in the third. Given how considerate of them Ava is, I would have expected boht Ava or Charity to mention either one and they aren't.If this was a conscious decision by the author, I don't see why bringing them up in the first book was necessary.

I'm pleasantly surprised and I'll be looking at the author's other works.

Future?

Can see this happening. People should open their eyes and start looking. You may not be a Christian but you will wish you were at the time you meet Jesus

Save your money

So much religious rhetoric in the first few chapters made this a big no for me.
