good book, make you think
good story, wish the author would have left out the extreme vulgar language. The first half of the book was great then for some reason the F Bombs came out. The story was good and didn't need to go it that direction.

It was ok
This starts off slow and I mean slow, started to stop reading/listening to it but kept going. The person narrating it well he just didn't make the story come alive like most I listen to so that was disappointing. The story in a whole is one good story but the writer bogs you down with too many details, like distractions or something. I don't know. I liked it and will listen again. If you read/listen prepare yourself for a little different side of the apocalypse.

Better than some reviews suggested
I almost did not read this book after reading some of the negative reviews peri did have reviews. I'm glad I did come of the period of the. I am looking forward to the next novel. Character development was good, story was timely, relevant, and realistic. It was not as much of a how to book as some other fiction novels in this genre. I found it engaging and and it held my interest through missed through all chapters.

Good story, Good performance, Hard to Process
At first, I was quite hesitant to take a chance on this book for no other reason than books on this topic tend to weigh heavy on my mind. This particular book turned out to be entertaining and worth the concerns and fears it plays on in my own mind. Some of the other reviews criticized it for the clear right-leaning position it takes and especially for the few minor conservative political statements but personally, I felt that that position was no more "shoved down the reader's throat" than any of the books I've also enjoyed with left-leaning positions.
