Publisher's Summary

Almost everyone is familiar with the moral lessons in the fables of Aesop, a freed Greek slave who lived in the 6th century B.C. Discover again the universal truths behind such stories as "The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing," "The Swallow and Other Birds," "The Fox and the Tiger," "The Lion and the Mouse," "The Mischievous Dog," "The Frogs Desiring a King," and many more. Since Aesop himself circulated his tales orally, this recording actually brings the stories back to their original form.

Wooden

Be warned that while there is nothing wrong with the stories the reader's delivery is a trifle wooden. So much so that it is difficult to listen to for a prolonged period - the kids hated it for this reason also.

Not the best version, still it’s acceptable.

Not the best version, still it’s acceptable. Average, but the epic character of Aesop’s Fables carries it through.
