What made the experience of listening to Adventures in Mu Mu Land the most enjoyable?
The songs that make these original stories really come alive are just fab! Refreshing, catchy and irresistible melodies that really engage this age group. (3 to 7 years). There are 11 songs on this 2nd musical audiobook and they are all equally as good as those to be found on 'Advenutres in Mu Mu Land' - Book One.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Adventures in Mu Mu Land?
Most certainly the arrival of their new character - an all-singing, all-dancing, cool-dude dog called Buddy Jackson! His first appearance in the magical world of Mu Mu Land can be heard on the five minute sample! The tap dancing had me in stitches ... and I'm the grown up here!
Which character – as performed by Lara J West – was your favourite?
Well, Buddy once again, I'd have to say, as I just loved his Jimmy Durante style vocal-characterisation - but there are lots of other great characters (and voices) in this magical world. Queen Mu is certainly a highly unagreeable monarch, and the Naughty Tooth Fairy makes the perfect villain of the peace.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Follow our heroines, Honey and Pickle, on more daring escapades in the magical kingdom of Mu Mu Land!
Any additional comments?
It is important to note, I feel, that here are two female protagonists (Honey and Pickle) who make really exciting and dynamic role models for children in their earliest, formative years. These stories are breaking the stereotype ... by declaring girls can go on adventures too!
