Reagan
I hate him. Jude Titan is everything that's wrong with the male sex: cocky, domineering and loaded with swagger. Oh, and did I mention he's a Republican? Yeah, the guy's so conservative he leans to the right when walking. And lucky me, I'm running against him for Senate. But I've got plenty of fight in me. A golden boy war hero opponent with a smile that leaves melted panties in its wake? Bring. It. On.
Jude
Damn, she's sexy. Reagan Preston intrigues me from the moment I lay eyes on her. And speaking of laying...I want between those thighs. But I want to make her burn for me first. Every debate and stolen moment is foreplay for us. She claims she hates me, but her body tells a different story. I plan to win this election, but I also want to win the sharp, fiery Democrat who captures my attention like no woman ever has. Politics is filthy, just like all the things I want to do to Reagan Preston.

An unlikely but fun story of politics and honest rivals

Would you consider the audio edition of Dirty Work to be better than the print version?
Having never read the book I can't honestly voice an opinion. I enjoyed the audio very much. The story was well written. The charactors were great. Plot and sub plots flowed nicely. Narrators did a marvolous job. What other book might you compare Dirty Work to and why?
I personally try to not compare books. Each author is unique in their own right. Some are better than others. I might compare books by the same author, however, this was the first time I have listened to one of Chelle Bliss's works. I fully intend to purchase the next book in the series Dirty Secret. What does Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Narrators always bring their own interrutation to any story. They put their own spin on the charactors. Leigh and York both brought this story to life.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I liked that Reagans father angered me. He is a very frustrating charactor. I loved Jude for his compassion and honor.Any additional comments?
I really liked the passion between Jude and Reagan. Not only in their sexual attraction, but in their careers, their views. The flow of the story was really well done. The only irritating part was the charactors introduction to the new chapters. Instead of saying, "Jude...chapter 8" They always used the first and last name, like we wouldn't know who they were. Just a minor annoyance.Thumbs Up for Dirty Work

I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about this book, but what I got, was a great read that was funny, and enthralling and hot as all get out!! Jude and Reagan are opponents running for the Senate in the great state of Illinois. Reagan comes from a strong political background as her father was also a politician as it's a given she's going to follow in her father's footsteps. Jude on the other hand is a war vet who believes in running for the right reason and helping the people. What neither of them ever considered is that they may be attracted to their opponent.
This is where the story gets SO GOOD. What starts as a flirtation blossoms into so much more. I loved how this book written in a dual POV and I seriously couldn't tell which author wrote which chapter. I was so enmeshed in the story that I just kept turning the pages to see what happened next.
These two together are so much better than they are apart. They balance each other which is something that Reagan and Jude really needed. The fact that she's expected to do this rather than wants to do this really tugged at my heart. To feel that kind of pressure has to be so tiring. Jude on the other hand is dealing with a lot of PTSD from his time in the war. This has an effect on him emotionally and physically along with what drives some of his campaign promises. There's a very poignant part of the book that literally had tears streaming down my face. When Reagan finds out about it, it changes her view of Jude and in a good way!
As would be expected in a book that's driven around politics there's not a shortage of zingers and things coming out of the closet. And WOW is all I can say when this stuff happens... totally didn't see it coming, but it was just what Reagan needed to make a life altering decision.
This is a book that is a MUST READ for any fans of Ms. Bliss and/or Ms. Rothert. It's well written, gets you engaged from the get go and doesn't disappoint in delivering a phenomenal story!
