Good but…

Overall good. Like the voice actor, but the pacing of the story at times is bad as it the obnoxiousness of the teen daughter.

Terrible Narrator

This lost so many stars for the narrator alone. She has a good voice, but not for this type of character. She made a 30ish, healthy, female sound like an 80 year old chain smoker. I never got into the story and just wanted it to end for most of it. If you're going to read this, get the ebook. I might try this again at some point via ebook in a few years when I stop associating this book to nails on a chalkboard. I also was not counting on this being a murder mystery. The one cop had the potential to be a funny character, but I could not stand him either. Again, that might be because of the narrator. Again, she has a great voice for certain types of characters. This book was a huge miss, however.

Good book

Easy to follow, well written and relatable characters. I love a good magical book with mystery and this has it. Looking forward to more from the collection.

Calming

Delightful and calming to listen to. An excellent story line. I can't wait to listen to the next book.

One of my favorite series!

I loved this book, and listened to it all in one go! I got frustrated with them and celebrated with them and was startled with them. Such a wonderful ride, and I picked up the second book immediately!
