One teeny weeny problem, I'm a mortal. Yep. I guess I got my granny Darla's DNA.

Good news! I might not have spiritual powers but I have a mean set of baking skills. I'm delighted to be moving out of Whispering Falls, where y'all know I can't live since I'm mortal, and to Celestial Falls, another small Southern town where I'm opening Heavenly Desserts. Of course, The Marys wouldn't let me leave unless I took my new kitten with me.

I'm beyond excited, but fluff left my dough when Orin Reguila showed up. But that's not all that put too much flour in my cookies, there just so happened to be a murder . . . when someone ate my cookie.

I've got no one to turn to! It looks like I'm going to have to enlist Orin's help with his wizard skills.

I just hope I can clear my name and save my business before The Marys make me pack up and go back to Whispering Falls.

exciting to the end

So many clues! So many suspects! Who did it? Would Lo's newly discovered power help her figure out who the murderer was in time?

Good story

I am sorry to say I didn't like the narrator she has an annoying voice

loved the magical twist

loved the whole story where is the next episode? I can't wait to hear all about those two getting settled in and what murder they will solve next.

Adorable and Silly

Can’t go wrong when Kappes and Parker team up. This was a cute little cozy mystery and I am hoping for more. Oren is a great book boyfriend. I like he actually uses his magic so casually. In other books of this genre, they use magic sparingly and reserve it for big ticket items. Not Oren. He uses it exactly as I would. Fun.

Enjoyable Series!

What a leap of time from the magical cure series! I didn’t realize I was going to lose 30 years! Although, I don’t think I would have enjoyed a day by day of Lo’s childhood, it caught me off guard. I do like the characters of Orin and Lo, I’d like to see where the relationship goes. I’m looking forward to listening to the rest of the series!
