A kid's curiosity ...a parent's nightmare

The award-winning author of Anybody's Daughter is back with an addictive courtroom drama that gives listeners a shocking look inside the juvenile criminal justice system.

Graylin Alexander is a model 14-year-old. When his adolescent curiosity gets the best of him, Graylin finds himself embroiled in a sexting scandal that threatens to ruin his life. Jenny Ungerman, the attorney hired to defend Graylin, is smart, confident, and committed. She isn't thrilled, however, when ex-prosecutor Angela Evans joins Graylin's defense team. The two women instantly butt heads. Can they put aside their differences long enough to ensure Graylin gets justice?

Unbeknownst to Angela, her boyfriend Dre is wrestling with his own drama. Someone from his past wants him dead. For Dre, his response is simple - kill or be killed.

Sooooo good

I’ve found a new favorite author. I will miss these characters...Angela & Dre! I mean this series has been a huge eye opener for me and the books were well written. Lots of suspense and narrator was the icing on the cake. He could transform his voice for each character and he is just awesome. This series is a must read....be sure to start at Book 1....Buying Time!

Mouth Still Watering

The struggle was turning the book off. I wanted to listen non stop & everywhere. Drama filled, intellectually torn, heat wrenching, so vivid, GREAT MESSAGE. The author not only raised awareness but offered viable resources for tools and prevention. You have no idea of the ending is going to be happy or not up to the end. you are on the edge the entire time. it's like your screaming at a movie screen. this should be a movie and ASAP! SEXTING is a highly relevant topic requiring discussion between parents and children. I recommend this book.

Mysterious, informative, and educational

I learned a lot from this book. It provided great info that can be applied in every day life not just for teens but everyone. I sure hate there isn’t another book to download by this writer she’s phenomenal! I have all of her book. I hope there is a follow up to this one, I want to Angela and Dre make it down the aisle.

Children being charged with adult crimes...

Wonderful addition to the Angela Evans series. I didn't think Ms Young was going to be continuing with this series since the last one came out in 2013 but am so glad she has. In this book both Evans and her boyfriend Dre are having their share of problems.
Angela is working alongside another attorney defending Dre's partner's 14 year old son. He's been arrested and put into a juvenile detention center for child pornography. He a child himself. Someone had sent him the nude picture of one of his classmates and then turned him into the principal of the school. Because the girl's parents are politically connected they want an example made of the boy. Just listening to the courtroom antics and the way the laws are written is so frustrating.
At the same time a child sex trafficker that Dre helped put in prison has taken out a contract to kill Dre. When they can't get to Dre they target Angela to get to him.
The outcomes to both are unpredictable until the end.
The book is so well written. As the perspective changes from one character to the next it is written in the first person for that particular character.
R C Bray is the perfect narrator for this book.
This book is VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Black Pearls Keepin it real Dallas Book Club

As the mother of three children I have to say Pamela Samuels Young really opened my eyes to the dangers that come with social media. We let all these devious people into our lives with one tap of the accept button. This book should be mandatory reading and given out to everyone before they are allowed to send photos for the world to see. I really enjoyed this book.

Lots to think about

This book kept me on edge till the last chapter. It was well told and thought provoking. The laws must be changed to protect our children.
I did have questions at the end and wanted a few more chapters to tie up some loose ends.

Realistic

I enjoyed this book so much I couldn’t put it down. I worked in CYA for a number of years and hear a lot of stories like this.

I thought including what happens in juvenile detention and in prison gives the reader some perspective of what can happen and some times do happen.

Also, being from an affluent family can push the DA to file charges they wouldn’t have filed because the Family is putting pressure on political figures.

Loved this book

Another brilliant story by Young. If I could say anything to her it would be thank you for educating us all on this important situation we face today. Young is now my favorite author since reading each of her books and I hope she writes many many more. Also want to mention narrator Brea is the best there is
