Tragedy strikes, and Lucas finds himself no longer able to remain in Cape Girardeau. He begins a western drift, rambling without a specific destination. He becomes a bounty hunter, and is very successful at it, eventually finding an opportunity to settle accounts with an old enemy.

LUCAS CAIN

This is a great start to this series about Lucas Cain. Lucus comes home from the war and becomes a police man and that turns into my favorite genre a (Bounty Hunter). There is several different adventures he has. He Meets different people and becomes a very good fast shot. I didn't like the part about his wife and child dying but I guess that was important for him to start moving west and becoming a rambling man. He helps a woman keep her ranch at the end of the book and there is some good gun fighting in that part. He said s also after some people that did him wrong when he was a prisoner of war. This is a five star book and I'll definitely go to the next book and see where Lucus goes to next. Michael Butler Murray does a great job narrating this book.
