A Life Unraveled is the story of kindergarten teacher Lily Gallo, who is a happily married mother of three with a perfect life - until the day she is brutally attacked while out for a run.

Lily grew up on a farm and always considered herself resilient. But when the small town’s high school football hero is arrested and convicted for the attack, Lily and her family suffer retaliation from some of the community, enticing Lily to wrap herself in an opioid cloud. When she puts her daughters’ lives in jeopardy, the wake-up call motivates Lily to flush the narcotics and clean up her life. But the clarity she expects is overshadowed by unnerving memory lapses.

As unexplained events become more disturbing, Lily believes that, although her attacker started the destruction, someone else is determined to finish it.

This book was a moving portrayal of a victim's experience with a twisting plot. The reader also did a great job of developing personal. I will be recommending this book to friends.

Story great; voice of reader was painful

I had a hard time not quitting on this one just bc of the voice reading it. The story otherwise was good.

This was pretty good

I liked this book. I wish they would have revealed a motive or a hint of why/who sooner. But liked it in general. Narration good.

Tons of twists and turns

Thrilling listen. Kept you wondering what was next. I was always excited to start another chapter.

This book made me want more!

I don’t even like stories like this or at least that’s what I had thought. I only read/listen to topics on health, self help or medical stuff. I had invited Jill on Second Wind the podcast after a previous guest who recommended her. After the interview I felt obliged to give this story a read. Surprise! I loved it! I was locked in and wished it wouldn’t end. Jill creates such a “set” for this story and the reader “see’s” everything as if it were on a movie screen. When I think back to parts of the book, I can actually see the scene and feel what was happening. What a gift, what a talent! Please keep writing!
