How does it feel to close the final chapter on Mystic Bayou?
"When I started the Mystic Bayou series, my Audible editor told me I could write about any supernatural creature I chose in whatever setting I wanted. That is a dangerous thing to tell a writer. I fell into a serious research rabbit hole and came out with the citizens of Mystic Bayou. This strange, complex, and wonderful group of fictional people got me through a cross-country move, relative isolation in a new hometown, and a pandemic. While it’s difficult to say goodbye, I hope I’ve left each of them happy ever after.
The response to these stories has been so heartwarming. To clear up a few commonly asked questions: No, this town isn't based on a real place. No, sadly, Zed isn’t based on a real person. (Couldn’t we all use a Zed in our lives?) And no, I cannot provide a recipe for chocolate rhubarb pie. I threw together two random ingredients I thought would make a really strange dessert. And it still sounds super weird, at least to me.
I hope this final entry in the Mystic Bayou series is as satisfying and joyful to listen to as it was for me to write. I hope I brought you laughter, fun, and a little less loneliness. I was thoroughly emerged into the bayou. I’m really sad the series is over. I’ll have to listen to it again in a few months and feel all the love and laughs again.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, but as a 5’10 tall, copper golden haired, plus size Amazonian Goddess (or so I was called in my youth) I could never relate to the women in the stories and how the men towered over them. Eva is finally a woman I can relate to! That said, I have fallen in love with these characters and enjoyed every story. I’ve laughed and gotten angry for and over each of them in turn. Molly Harper has created a beautiful (sometimes deliciously erotic while not being sleazy) world of people I wish I could live amongst in this series.

Finally a plus size beauty!
